Say what?
![]() Blah, blah, blah see Mike Bell thread. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200...828/index.html REMEMBER THIS TITAN Considering a running back from Tennessee? Travis Henry should be your first choice. A team source says he's running like a new man in training camp and has outperformed Chris Brown and second-round pick LenDale White. The key for Henry is that he's much lighter than he was a year ago, having dropped 15 pounds after playing at 230 last season. Henry carried the extra bulk because he thought he needed it to avoid the bumps and bruises that have plagued him during his career. Instead, it only made him an easier target for defenders. I'm told the Titans will be going back to the conservative offense that was built around Eddie George in the late 1990s and will be pounding the football again this season. With his new physique, Henry should be a valuable option as a third back. If you get him as your fourth running back, he'd be a steal. ----------- This was from CBSSportsline today: According to a source close to the Titans, CBS SportsLine.com has learned that Travis Henry is expected to be the Tennessee's starting running back when they play vs. the Jets in Week 1 of the regular season. "Chris Brown is listed as the No. 1 running back in name only," the source said, citing Henry's dedication to the offseason workouts and overall ability as the main reasons why he'll start over Brown and rookie LenDale White. Henry started the Titans' third preseason game, a home loss to the Falcons. On the preseason, Henry has rushed for 53 yards on 21 carries (a 2.5 yards per carry average) with a touchdown along with three catches for 20 yards; Brown has 69 rush yards on 16 carries (4.3 average) with three passes caught for 24 yards. |
