Anyone else find it interesting that when asked about Champ and Al missing the last game due to team infraction, Rod brings up Champ's shoulder? Is there something there? Has it never completely healed? Something about that just stuck out to me, wondered if I'm the only one...

I'm not a Denver fan so I don't proclaim to know alot about the situation but I thought I remembered hearing that Champ decided to not have surgery and he will continue to wear the same shoulder harness thing that he wore last year.

Actually I heard this same thing. He opted not to have surgery in the offseason and said he will wear the harness throughout the season as a precautionary thing. He did say his shoulder feels way better and he could play without the harness, but will play with it.

Champ's hamstring was a bigger issue than his shoulder was last year. He missed half a game due to the shoulder, 2 full games & half of 2 others because of the hammy.

I don't see the shoulder being a concern.

He's not the same WR with the harness than he is without.

I had never thought about how appropriate it is for a Bronco to wear a harness. Has the organization given any thought to making these mandatory?

The harness doenst let you raise you arm totally over your head I don't think but Champ can always raise the other one to swat down passes.

The harness is for added protection hitting the turf and tackling 250lb fullbacks.

However he does have a loose shoulder that could, and maybe even should, have been operated on but Champ chose not to and rehadbbed it to the max. It will still be prone to popping out again and if he doesn't he'll almost certianly have to go under the knife so the harness is to try and prevent that from happening.

It makes sense though to limit his chances for further damage in meaningless games though. Its not like he needs the practice!
