All I can say is that it's too bad the mexicans don't have to use boats to get to us like the cubans and haitians.

Have you ever seen the "vessels" that the Cubans use to sail here? Pretty damn ingenous. One day its a 55 Buick or a 48 flat bed truck, and the next day its taking you and your 50 closest amigos to Florida.

Yeah, those guys and the haitans ... balls of steel. I hope this thread wasn't too offensive. I didn't see how to tie the story to the board. Pretty amazing these guys lived, and pretty amazing how big the Pac Ocean is.

No doubt. It would have drawn more attention had you put something in there about your love/hate for Bush. I posted a thread about a Naval officer running 30 marathons to benefit combat wounded and it got viewed by 14 people... Had I started a thread blaming Bush for my hemeroids or calling Hillary a dyke, and it would drawn em outta the wood work.

I wonder what happened to their shipmates. The ones that jumped over the side. I imagine it wasnt very pretty. Further, I wonder if their mates jumped or were assisted over the side.

I'm sorta missing where you're going here. Personally, I'd like to let the haitans stay, but the reality is that the whole damn Island would prolly try rafting here.

As for illegals from mexico, I'm one of those who'd prefer letting folks stay, provided the min wage and health care was upped. But the border needs to be closed - for many reasons.
