and his dumb attempt to create Dallas controversy. The 'statue' Bledsoe managed to throw a couple of touchdowns. Guess buttaball will have to make up some other news on the sidelines. How about Parcells secretly dressing in drag? I really thought the guy was at least reasonably professional, but I guess not. His blogs "I think that" and his columns are basically the same lovefests for the same teams and players every year. You'd think out of boredom he might want to report news for a change.

King was just bringing up what all the Dallas papers and even parcells himself has said. Bledsoe isn't being given the job this year. He has to beat Romo out. Romo has played well too so King didn't say anything wrong. |

A parody of Peter King's Monday Morning QB . . .
"I was combing my skunk hair when I got a call on my cell phone. It was Brett Favre. We talk all the time. I think he's the best QB in the world. Well, he and Tom Brady. I loooooooooovvvvvvvvvvvvvee Bill Belichick. He, owner Bob Kraft, and Scotti Pioli can do no wrong. Actually, this is interesting, I was having a triple espresso carmel machiado the other day when I decided to call my daughter, Mary Beth, and discuss her menstral cycle while away in college. I'm one of those great dads, who, despite having this great job with Sports Illustrated, is devoted to all my children and love to tell people about them till they puke. Anyway, Mary Beth told me she thought Joey Harrington wasn't turning out to be a Pro Bowl QB and I had to agree. Joey, listen up. This act of trying to stay in football with the Dolphins, well, I'm on to you." Last edited by The Moops; 08-22-2006 at 06:48 AM.. |

Moops, That was hysterical. I think you're right on with that parody. I don't kow why I read his columns, but he is so biased it's ridiculous! And the way he goes on and on about coffee and travelling and his kids...ugh. I have kids too, but I don't babble on about them to anyone willing to listen. That white spot in his hair could easily be taken care of with some "comb-in dye" from the drug store. Every time I see his mug shot on si.com, I am not sure whether to laugh out loud or skin his head and make a coon cap out of that mop! Go Broncos!! |

Yeah, I can't believe SI lets him get away with that inane crap about coffee and his kids. And he definitely only talks about the Patriots, Jets, Giants and the Cowboys -- unless he's dissing a team.
It's funny, two years ago he knew nothing about fantasy football and admitted it in his column, now he thinks he's an expert. Remember his big pick last year? Kerry Collins in the second round. Nice. |

You guys are forgetting that it wasn't Peter that started this whole rumor/controversy.
Chris Mortensen started this whole thing weeks ago! |

Peter King is alright by me. He was one of the few Elway supporters in the media befor the Superbowl years.

he is the biggest NE homer in the media.
i like reading his column sometimes but it just gets so redundant over the season. |

You're right about him being a homer . . . even in this week's MMQ he had 4 "Quote of the weeks" and 3 were from Patriots. The 4th? Former Patriot Adam Viniatieri.
The worst was saying he was voting Tagliabue for the HOF this year. Great, another coach/contributor/commissioner taken up one of the six slots. Why can't these guys be forced to wait 5 years like players? Is it so important to induct Tags the very first year! That means one less Bronco being considered. |
