Rookie Class - The Orange Mane

If UFA's Burton and Vaughn happen to make the team, along with Mike Bell, could we have 8 rookies make the roster? In addition, the trade for Javon Walker for a second rounder could rightfully be added to the list.

Cutler
Scheffler
Marshall
Dumervil
Kuper
M. Bell
Burton?
Vaughn?

Plus Eslinger, Everett, and Clark on the PS and Hixon on the IR. Not bad for 7 picks! I wonder when we last had that many rookies make the team.

My guess is no, but who knows. I love the talent we have on this team and am definitely excited about this years draft class.

Which is even more impressive when you consider we only lost three starters and those we cut.

What cuts? Hixon will go on IR, Eslinger on PS. The others will make the roster. Cutler *Walker* Scheff, Kuper, Marshall. Dumervil might get cut but I doubt it.

This will go down as the best draft since the Orange Crush defense was drafted in 75. Elway gets a pass, but the rest of that draft wasn't anything special.

I'm sure there will be some washouts, but Rocket Man, Walker, Scheff, Marshall and Kuper are all locks for the active roster imo. Add MBell and players like Kircus that appear to be on the roster. That's 7 keepers plus one on PS and one on IR. I know damn well they are going to nurse Hixon. Not only has he missed everything, but the roster is full of WR's.

Look at it this way. How many guys have we ever cut after camp (Not for salary cap purposes) have ever done anything with another NFL team?

Mock judging by what we currently have available on the D-Line there's no way in hell Elvis gets cut. Corey Jackson now there's a different story. Cannot see him beating out Chuckwurah at present.

If we keep 9 like we normally do for me it would be:

Lang, C Brown, Ekuban, Engelberger, Chukwurah
Warren, Myers, Veal, Dumervil

If we trade for a DT then Engelberger or Chukwurah will be on the bubble. Chuk needs to wrap up when he gets into the backfield or he's gone.
