Default Let the QB controversy begin.

I didn't get to see the game. However, getting a pulse from the board it would appear on the surface that Cutler did well.

As a Chiefs fans that's good and bad news. Good because it can shake the foundation of the Broncos team this season. Bad because, if correct Cutler could be a challenge for the Chiefs in the future.

After one preseason game how many have joined the "Start Cutler Now" camp? Just curious.

Well if you want to see what will be owning your team for years to come just flip on sports center and watch the highlights.

I saw the highlights. Hard to get a feel from that. I will say however, that every year you guys are talking about how your 1st picks are going to own us for years. That dog has few teeth over the last several years. But you never know when it will happen.

I noticed you didn't answer the question. That happens a lot here.

there is no controversy. The man with over 100 wins and 2 SB rings knows how to run this team. As AFCW fan of opponent, you should be very very worried

Yeah....... I'm not worried.

But if I were to worry, when should I start worrying? This year, or next. Or perhaps even the next year?

When would you start Cutler? Is the question that tough?

Dude, it take more then some guy on the Internet to scare me. There is nothing you can do to me that would even make me flinch online.

When do the Chef play?

There is no controversy other than the one the media will create. I know this much...If Jake goes down I'm not terrified like if BVP got thrown to the wolves. Put it this way. Salsbury Steak was drooling over him. That's never a good sign. Put it this way. Jay's mechanics are textbook, his poise uncanny so far. If you go dig deep on him, your hard pressed to find a damn thing not to like A to Z. This pick kinda came out of left field. Noone was talking QB prior to the draft so we didn't know or at least I didn't, know much about Jay. I can't find a weakness. Hell...he was SEC player of the year and noone, NOONE else on Vandy was even invited to the combine. In Shanny we trust. When Jay is ready, we will likely trade Jake or give him his release. Want to know why Jake has invited Jay over for some barbies (not the dolls Boob)? It's because Shanny has developed Jake into a legitimate if not dominant QB. I have no doubt that when Jake is given the door he will bow and thank the team. He's been a good stopgap QB after the SOB fiasco and was the best available at that time.

Jay threw some ropes, but had the presence of mind to loft the ball over defenders to Kircus, who made a rather awkward catch.

Pretty sad, that you crave attention so much in real world, that you seek to insult folks online to get it. People would like you heck a lot more on the mane if you didn't try come off like internet tough guy.

Beside every time I ever attempted to have "serious" conversation with you, you to start throwing mild insults.

He starts whenever we need him to. Simple enough. Now who's behind Trent Green and is he the aire apparent to Trent Green and if he is not who is? Any plan if Trent goes down in say week two. A simple questioned lobbed over the middle of the plate there George Brett.

I looked it up to make it easy. Damond Huard and Brodie Croyle. Flip a coin

Yep.

I would say the QB we plan to groom behind Green is Croyle. I dont have a lot of confidence in our backups. Nothing to really draw from.

Did you accidentally post on the wrong thread? This has nothing to do with Herm Edwards.

Did well?

I suppose you could say that.

But it would be more descriptive (and more accurate) to say he was the best of player out of all 180 players on the field.

Man, I would HATE to be a Chefs fan for the next 15 years.

Jay did really well. But it is only pre-season and Jake did fine too. We were driving until Bell coughed it up so thats not Jake's fault. The best thing will be for Jay to study and learn from jake from the bench. At least for a year or two.

Cutler doing well in his first pre-season game is REALLY BAD news for you chump fans. The rook could have come in and stunk up the field. Instead he's making you nervous about the future and your thread demonstrates that.

Plummer played well in his short stint and Cutler looked quite a bit better than good. The only QB controversy in Denver Town is whether to keep 2 QBs or 3 this year.

Honestly, I saw the game and I'll agree he's got a strong arm, but 20 QB's in the NFL have arms like that. Years of Griese and Plummer have skewed this board's perception.

Good start by the rookie. Sort of reminds me of Ryan Leaf's debut with the Chargers. He tore up the preseason.

The major difference is that Cutler is exponentially more intelligent than his family dog...the same cannot be said for Ryan Leaf.
