Default Any guesses on weather a new commish will change anything?

After all the labor problems that have been dealt with in other sports. Particularly the recent year without hockey, I think it is important to note that we are changing the guard in the NFL. I haven't heard much about it lately but it worries me.

I think he'll be chosen specifically because he won't change the current trends.

Touching Payaton's recievers will continue to be gradually made illegal.

Not surprising they didn't even consider anyone with an NFL background. The last thing they want is some traditionalist letting their love for the game get in the way of the bottom line. They'll select another windsock like Paul Tagalong.

As long as the new guy continues to sit on the flavor clowns, I'm good with it.

Murder, spousal abuse and DUIs are still cool, but, don't you dare attempt a pre-planned end zone celebration.

This just in: Chief operation officer Roger Goodell has been elected NFL commissioner, succeeding Paul Tagliabue. Sounds like a great pic.

Actually, now that we have a new commissioner,

* the Broncs will win the Superbowl 3 out of every 4 years.

* Payton's passer rating will drop to 0.01; but he will be forced to appear in one humiliating start after another as no person will be willing to play quarterback for Indy except him. His OL is unable to stop a single blitz all year.

* Al Davis' bimbos will reveal publically that he is unable to, er, function properly, even with a double dose of . . . Al's self image will swell even larger.

* DNA evidence will be used to send Ray Lewis to jail for life;

* Joe Montana and Dan Marino, as a condition of being in the HOF, will be required to publically admit that Elway was much better than they were and to thank John for allowing them to play in the same era;

* San Diego and KC will year-in-and-year out be acclaimed as the best teams not to make the playoffs. After 5 years, noone except Broncos fans in KC or SD on business when the Broncs are in town, will attend their games. After 10 years, KC and SD begin forfeiting games because the players need to attend their daughter's recitals.

It's going to be great!
