Default Denver Job Assistance

You know what. I'm tired of my town. So I'm interested in maybe moving to Denver. It just so happens my college roommates live in Denver. I do IT work. Management, PC's, Servers, Routers, Facilities, Infrastructure, and Project Management for Insurance, Banks, and Financial Institutions in general. If anybody can be of assistance..please shoot me a PM.

How cool would that be if you actually procured a job in Denver off that post?

This could be a life changing thread, folks. Proceed with care.

Garcia has great personal skills also. He's real laid back. (see avatar)

Big Guy and No1Broncosfan come to my mind as posters that would have ideas for you.

Try www.usajobs.gov. Most government agencies have a regional office in Denver and all of them need IT specialists to help with computer video / audio feeds for conferences with Washington along with other managing their office network. issues. The benefits are great: relatively inexpensive insurance compared to most public companies (i.e; GEICO - Government Employee Insurance COmpany), 4 weeks vacation after 3 years plus 10 holidays, they match up to 5% for your retirement. Depending on the job, the pay will probably be slighty less than at a public company. Oh, plus you can use the government rate to get into nicer hotels when you travel. Depending on the job demand for your postion, they may also pay moving expenses.

Sorry, I can't give you anything specific. Maybe you did this already:

Start hitting the websites - IBM, Lockheed-Martin, Qwest, Comcast, Dish Network I think has their HQ here. Hit every City and County site, the State, the Feds, every school district.

Well, if you want to WORK we can give you some part time work installing signs, digging holes, drilling holes. 12 bucks an hour. We're out at the airport right now and we'd have to pay 15 out here. Make sure you bring plenty of water though. I hate b****es that pass out from dehydration/heat exhaustion/stroke, etc...do that and your fired on the spot.

Inverness Hotel is a great place to work. I was both a banquet server and a bartender for a couple summers. Tip share is about 13 or 14, and if you are a bartender you get tip share plus your cash tips. I know the manager Said, yes that is how you spell it and I can not only get you an interview but prob a job, just pm and let me know if you are interested.

Well I know for a fact that Lockheed down south is hiring mechanicals, my friend Liz works for them as a senior 2 mech. Also in the private industry I know that Washington Group International is hiring mechanical engineers because my buddy Jeff who works for them asked me if I knew anyone. WGI is the biggest engineering firm in the nation, great benifits and pay to relocate people, pm me if you are interested.

Don't do it Rascal... you know better. Stay DoD!

I'll keep an eye out for DCMA positions in the Denver area. Lockheed, NASA, and I think Bell Aero all have customer oversight via DCMA. You'll stay a 12 too. If you're really interested in Dallas/Ft.Worth I can probably help.

This must be what Pres. Bush is talking about when he repeats the phrase, "Jobs Americans aren't doing."

My office is right behind The Inverness on the golf course. Wear an orange and blue ribbon so I know it's you and I'll double the tip.
