There's definitely a fine balance between watching what's going on at camp, seeing who is doing well or poor, and taking a few decent pictures.
SoCal, sorry I didn't meet up with you. I didn't have time to contact you before I left for Dove Valley. Wednesday will be the next time I go to camp and I'll certainly meet up with you then. Jay Cutler throwing to his right ![]() Cutler handing off to Cobbs ![]() Javon Walker to the left of Jake Plummer ![]() Javon makes another catch (I heard a lot of "Ashley who?" today) ![]() A tired Javon Walker ![]() Finally, does anyone know who #9 is and why he was out there kicking with the entire team watching? The team seemed to be having a good time watching him miss. ![]() Last edited by Breck Bronc; 07-31-2006 at 07:30 PM.. |

Isn't #9 Preston Parsons? I'm not sure, but I think that's who it is.
Good pictures, thanks! EDIT: Just checked the roster, Parsons is #5. I dont know who #9 is. Last edited by Inkana7; 07-31-2006 at 10:20 AM.. |

#9 is me. I'm a sports writer trying to do a remake of Paper Lions. This will be called "Cardboard Broncos". I'm trying to make it as the Punter since my arm sucks

Parsons is #5. Not sure who 9 is.
I'm not sure I believe these pics to be real though. JK... We'll have the bus out there Wed Am. Maybe we'll see you around Breck. Excellent pics! Last edited by Meck77; 07-31-2006 at 10:57 AM.. |

Wow, those are amazing pictures! I wish I could get mine to come out like that.
And you're absolutely right, trying to take photos and watching/analyzing plays are two very different things. On Friday I watched the PM session basically through the lense, and I couldnt tell you who did what, as I was targeting certain players (Jay Cutler mostly) for pictures. |

that #9 is an author by the name of Stefan Fatsis who is participating in the camp to gather material for his new book.
EXTRA, EXTRA: Wilson eagerly called the newest individual to don a Broncos practice jersey up in front of his teammates to do the pre-calisthenic breakdown at the start of Wednesday's session. But that individual wasn't listed on the roster. Following in a tradition of participatory journalism immortalized by the late George Plimpton, Wall Street Journal reporter Stefan Fatsis donned a blue No. 9 jersey and took part in Wednesday's practice as part of his research for a proposed book. Befitting his day job, he carried a pen and a notepad onto the field with him and quickly scratched a few notes onto it after leading the team in a series of claps and a few dance steps. Fatsis' résumé includes two previous books. One is a tome about the Northern League called Wild and Outside : How a Renegade Minor League Revived the Spirit of Baseball in America's Heartland; the other is a glimpse at Scrabble entitled Word Freak: Heartbreak, Triumph, Genius, and Obsession in the World of Competitive Scrabble Players. He also contributes to National Public Radio in addition to his full-time Journal duties. http://www.denverbroncos.com/page.ph...4&storyID=5639 |

those are great shots, it looks like you are right on the field.
As for #9, he looks a good 3 inches shorter than foxworth, and chicken legged, it can't be a real player. Edit ammit, the mystery was solved while I was postingLast edited by 2KBack; 07-31-2006 at 11:17 AM.. |

I like the fact that Javon isn't wearing a knee brace.

These pictures are great, but they're nothing without some sort of Camp observations, perhaps from one of our esteemed members at the Mane.

a 4-5mega pixel slr type with at least 10x zoom should be perfect.

Looks like a 350mm to 400mm zoom (10x to 12x ) unless he's standing near the sidelines.
BB can you please give us the EXIF data on a few of those shots? F-stop shutter speed. ISO zoom make and model of camera and lens? Many thanks |
