Man, I'm stoked about some of the guys we're bringing in!

Jason Munns

Ht: 6-foot-4 (Events)
Wt: 229 lbs
Vertical: 28 inches
Class: 2007 (High School)

JJ DiLuigi

Ht: 5-9 Wt: 188
40: 4.5
Year: Class of 2007
High School: Canyon HS

I think the spread out pass-oriented offense will draw a lot of talent ( MWC Calibur) in. I really think Mendenhall has turned this team around after Crowton ruining it for three years.

It's nice seeing the changes. We should be right in the mix this year. Especially with this kid at the helm:

They're the same ones we've always had just with a darker blue:

The blue is a little bit darker than in times past, but I like to think of it as Bronco Blue.

I can't believe you liked the ugly ones we were wearing two seasons ago!

Not even Beck could make these look any good.

They're re-playing that game on BYU TV in a few weeks. I've got it Tivo'd.

I like to remember that the AIR FORCE FALCONS finished #4 in the nation that year ...

BTW - It was the 2-year old unis with the BEIGE (ee gads!) that I was referring to.

What does that mean? We've played at least one really good team a year outside our regular conference.

Last year it was Notre Dame. In 2004 it was the Trojans. I'd figure both those guys to be "real" teams.

This year two of our conference opponents, TCU and Utah, are ranked so that should give us some competion. Tulsa and Boston College are on our schedule and they both could crack the top 25. MWC is not the SEC, but we're tougher than a lot of people think.

I just dont want to see another headline that reads " BYU feels they should be in the National Championship Game " and then they go and get their ass beat in the Bowl game they did appear in. Didnt they go like 13-0 and whined and complained only to get trounced by Hawaii or somebody?

12-0 and then we lost to Hawaii 45-72. Lelie was one of their receivers actually.
Not sure where you're going with this. That was more than five years ago.

Im just saying that BYU has a history of playing soft schedules. If they really want to play with the big dogs than they need to play 2 or 3 really good teams. Im not sure who all is in their division but it cant be that strong if they are getting blown out by teams like Hawaii.

I was actually pointing out the stupidity of both fan bases. Kinda funny how both raider and byu fans live in the past wouldn't ya say Kaylore, bringing up pics of your 84' season. At least the raiders have gotten somewhat close to something special in the past ten years, wish I could say the same for byu.

Na, no trash talk on the mormon religion, even though I completely disagree with many beliefs in the faith, I have many friends who are mormon and respect their faith.

Now this, this is just flat out hatred. Alot of people dont understand the BYU Utah rivalry. Its neighbor against neighbor, family against family, father against son. Its more personal then any other rivalry in the nation.

I can honestly say that I hate BYU, I look at KC and Okland fans and laugh. I look at BYU fans and have a sudden rush of anger come over me.

Do you live in Utah? That must be why. I'm a BYU fan, but not a die-hard. Bronco fan first, Cougar fan second.

I rooted for BYU from my youth and growing up in Colorado my earliest memories are attending games at the Air Force Academy or in Greely. I never attended a BYU Vs. Utah game in my life before I went to school there.

When I attended BYU I never realized how serious it is. In some ways it's worse than the Michigan Vs. Ohio State rivalry only because all the fans live in the same state the Universities are an hour from each other in medium traffic.

After we lost to Utah in '04 the entire town (Provo) just shut down. People everywhere were miserable. It reminded me of Denver after the Super Bowl loses. The thing is this is just a regular season game. I mean it wasn't even a Bowl game. It was just a normal game but the two hate each other so much it was like the Super Bowl. In that moment realized how Chief fans would feel if we ever beat them at arrowhead and it is one of my dreams to see that happen.

And the Utes = Chiefs.

In all seriousness, I have seen how Ute and Cougars fans treat each other and it's as nasty as any rivalry. Unfortunately because of the conferences (WAC,MWC) stature, this rivalry does not get much national play. Combined with the fact that when team has been good or great the other has been down or average.

yeah, our kids found out they would have ZERO chance of getting in a major bowl game, and they laid an egg against hawaii.

the disappointment was palpable. that team wouldve waxed the rainbows if it meant anything.

that team may not have played anybody, but almost every year we take on top 25 teams.
SC two years in a row, notre dame, miami, etc.

you have to remember that schedules are made long in advance.
we scheduled miss. state when they finished in the top 25, and by the time we played them (a few years later) they were terrible.
thats our fault?

we play who they put in front of us, and we're on par with the big guys as far as fan support and winning percentage.
