OT: Comcast People With HD, Did You Just Get ESPN2HD? - The Orange Mane

So I just went upstairs, and was flipping around channels. I came too 668, ESPNHD, because that's what our TV is on 75% of the time. But this time, when I came to it, right under it we have ESPN2HD at 670.

It's just odd to me because I know we didn't upgrade our package. Did this just happen last night, or recently and I just hadn't noticed?

Not complaining, I've been wanting ESPN2 in HD for months now.

2 days ago. I actually called Comcast about it 2 weeks ago and they said that I should be expecting a "surprise" on the 20th. Forgot until I turned the TV on and had ESPN2 in High Def.

Isn't it great that they do this as soon as the NBA playoffs are over?

I know right. I could have used this a month ago when they had playoff games on ESPN HD and ESPN2 HD.

Flipping from an HD channel to a non-HD channel is no fun. They need to get TNT on HD soon.

it is on HD. You just dont have the channel.

DirecTv has had it for a while, but I'm waiting for the NFL Network channel to be HD. I saw an ad. on their saying they were available in HD, but they are not HD on DirecTv, at least not yet.

We've had TNT HD for a while too. DirecTv does offer a boatload of HD channels!

Yeah I know, I just meant they need to give it to us.

That will be one upside of going home, my folks get TNT in HD... But they don't get Altitude... I may have to shell out for the NBA package in November.

OK, is this just happening to me or do you have the problem too -- when you go from an HD channel to non-HD, the non-HD channel will "freeze" for just a split second every three seconds or so. The only way I solve it is by pausing for a second and then hitting play again.

NBA League Pass is worth it. I've gotten it the last three years and I EASILY get my money's worth. Especially during re-run season when the networks aren't showing anything interesting.

Yeah I've noticed considerable lag with non-HD channels, it sucks.

And I'm thinking League Pass will be pretty sweet, so I'm not too upset about having to shell out. Maybe I'll talk me dad into footing the bill, who knows.

Wally World is starting to get them in for under 1500. Some are under 800.
