Default My dad on Foxnews...

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,194797,00.html

My dad was interviewed 2 weeks before the IED blew up his Humvee. It has the article summing up what is said in the two video clips. My dad is in the one entitled America's Battalion, near the ending of it, he is talking about Iraq's banking system, or lack thereof.

Searched for it on Fox. My grandmother mentioned he was on the news when I went to go see my dad on memorial day. I didnt know until I got there, and I did not remember to search till the otherday.

How discouraging. The Iraqi security forces make F-Troop look like Rangers.

Give your brave father my thanks. Is that whole country full of cowards? From IED's to AWOL's, does anyone have a ****ing spine in that litter box of a country? Grrrrrrrrr.

I have to admit, I'm growing more dissilusioned by the day. If they can't man up for their own country like Germany and Japan did after the war, what's the freakin' point? We are doing all the dirty work while paying these clowns to desert? It took them 4 years to put together a paper government! You can lead a camel to water but you can't make him drink. Can you imagine America in that situation? Hell, you would have literally EVERYONE from green peas to grandmothers standing up, like we did in WWII.

I haven't heard the whole story but sorry to hear about your dad being injured. Best of luck to him and I hope he has a quick recovery.

Watching that video I can only imagine how damn hot they must get in all that equipment. I'm breaking a sweat just thinking about it, and their equipment doesn't allow breathing so they just get soaked in their own perspiration. First thing I do over there is weld a nice piece of sheet metal under the floor pans.

My thoughts are with you my friend. I had a couple close calls and have friends who have been through the same. Keep up the hard work, you will be rewarded when his memory returns.

Your dad is right on the money.

I'm in the kiddy end of the pool. Where he is there are things happening all the time. I'm in Beverly Hills. He was in Compton. I travel through it but he lives with it. A completely different headset. Once you get used to mortars where I am would bore you to tears.

Right now the heat is kicking around 130F. It gets up to 150F during July. The dust is miserable. There are only two vehicles out here that insure safe passage. I have yet to have luxury of riding in either one of them.

A bad weld of a plate of steel is just a coffin nail.

first, it isn't Truble, and no, they didn't cause much for 5 years after the war. There were elements, but nothing like the situations we were in now.

You wnat to make an assertion, provide a link. The fact is that virtually every German did everything to get west of the Pottsdam line. You know nothing. You have nada, zero. STFU.

You could count more Baseball fields in post WWII Germany and Japan than the entire Middle east put together today. It is hard to deal with Iraq because it doesn't want to be dealt with, for us, its like the Greeks attempting to capture India. Its far away, the cultures are too different, and nobody gives a ****.
