Tough to choose which lucky shirt to go with, but the 86 AFCC won out.

Congrats! Get your self lots of Baby Einstein Videos,My daughter loved that series & now likes the Little Einstein show & DVDs. Exposing kids to Beethoven, Bach & Mozart as soon as possible doesn't hurt considering music appreciation may not be presented to them in public schools when they get there.

Plus the DVD's are like catnip to them & my 3 year old still watches them.

Good luck to you & the wife! She is a beauty & they do grow up WAY TO FREAKING fast!

So how was the whole labor/birth for your wife, Popps? Hopefully easy.....as if that's ever possible.

(Thanks again, everyone. Great suggestions, too.)

Labor was actually about as good as it could be, aside from being long. (Easy for me to say, I guess.) She went natural for her first child. (My step.) But, it came on too hard and early this time so she got the shot, and didn't even FEEL the contractions after that. She's tough as nails, though. Like I said, women make men look like such sissies.

Anyway, a little long... but it went really well. Once the "doorway" was open, she did about 3 quick rounds of trying before we had a beautiful little girl.

I can't imagine. She's a week old tomorrow and it seems like we just brought her home. I'm sure the years fly.

I'm all over the Baby Einstein vids, and good suggestion on the classical. My parents did that. Of course, they also showed me Jimi Hendrix at age 5.
I'll give you three guesses which one I latched onto.

What a great thing, though. Everything is new to them. Music... Christmas... birthday cake... you name it. Not jaded, not sick of anything. How cool is that?

I'm buying Rose "Kind of Blue" by Miles Davis and the "Hitsville USA" motown collection. It's what I listened to and look how I turned out.

On second thought, maybe we should find her something else.

My Daughter likes hip hop beats & AC DC & Led Zep she has her own dance routines to some songs already so we are signing her up for Dance class soon. The goal is to play her all types of music so she is not afraid to like a genere because it is different that something she has been exposed to.

The phase I am tired of already is the Cinderella dress phase. Everyday she wants to wear a dress & then wants to change a couple of times of day. I am lucky we locked up all the clothes before this phasse & then conviced her she can only wear 1 dress a day. The only way we convinced her was that we would let her pick out the next days dress early or at bath time & that seems to keep her satisfied for now. My Niece would change 5 times in an hour when she was in that phase & it drove my sister nuts.

That said I would not trade in my Abby Rose (I have a Rose also) for a 1st born son for anything. I live for a smile or the "I love you Daddy" at night or even better if I get an unsolicted one during the day. Who knows what the teen years will bring so I am enjoying it now!

Great stuff, man... and a familiar story. A lot of guys think they only want a son, until they have a daughter. I didn't really care as long as everyone was healthy. I KNEW it would be a girl from the start, though. Just knew.

His is due in August, I know because it's at the same time as my 4th grandchild. Your excitement Popps is so apparent. Watch your heart....well never mind....I see she's already wrapped herself around it.

Notice your posting a little early in the morning.

Yea, I've always been a night owl. She's doing her best to fix that.

Thanks for the nice words.
