Default Chiefs may lose 7th round pick

Looks like angels may steal him away. He'd be smart to go with Angels and forget about those silly papooses in KC.

Nice job Carl, your 20 year plan sure is working by drafting potential Baseball players...

This really does point out that the KC organization has its collective heads up their (dark places). Petersen just seems to not have a clue about building a team, and shows very little sense about what the needs are. I doubt he could close a deal at the Mustang Ranch!

The only positive thing to be read here is that the guy has some athletic skills. That's as good as saying he at least has a set of cojones and can pass a physical that requires visible proof of maleness, if you know what I mean.

Gads, I love the mullets. They give more hours of fun than watching the hamster in the wheel.

But president/general manager Carl Peterson said the Chiefs won’t get into a bidding war for Page and won’t give him a signing bonus beyond the normal amount of about $30,000 for a seventh-round pick.

“We’re talking about a seventh-round draft choice,” Peterson said. “I don’t consider that to be any leverage for him.”

Wow Carl seems to think highly of his 7th round pick to not even consider offering the kid the equivalent of on old Jeep to try to keep him around. Whatever. It's a new low for the Chiefs when they can't even sign 7th round picks.

Jarrad Page can go eff himself if he wants to play baseball. He'll make alot more money in the NFL as a backup than as a minor-league schmoe. He needs the Chiefs alot more than they need his worthless 7th round ass.

His income potential is alot bigger in MLB, than it is in the NFL. He could also have a longer career in the major leagues.

That would be a sucky situation to be in. Do I choose baseball or football? He will have to give one up forever, basically.

Your chances of developing into a major league baseball player is more of crapshoot than the NFL, but he could get more $$ up front at a MLB draft pick...

Who's going to replace Sammy Knight when Brandon Marshall buries him six feet deep in the middle of the field in Week 2?

Maybe that's the reality of the situation, but why insult the kid by saying it publicly?

A - Carl Peterson is a spiteful dick who loves being quoted.

B - Carl Peterson is a grandstanding jerkoff who loves being quoted.

C - A and B.

Our second round pick, Bernard "Bonecrusher" Pollard.

Who's going to replace John Lynch when Larry Johnson flattens him? We have our own freakish rookie WR, BTW:

That dude's probably pissed that he has to wear a Chumps uni after getting to wear that stylish football apparel for 4 years!

Sammy Knight couldn't hold Lynch's jock, don't be silly. Besides, once Roaf and Shields retire midseason LJ won't be much of a factor.

Knight forces more turnovers than Lynch and he's just as good in run support. Don't be silly.

Oh, and there will never be a brother with the name "Jeff" who will doing anything as a WR in the NFL...that's comical.

Yeah, I'm sure the Pro Bowl voters agreed with you on that the last 2 seasons, right?

No, I don't believe that, but with their advanced age and the way both will be nicked up by then, I guarantee you they will be thinking about it.
