The easiest answer to a difficult and emotional problem is to resort to violence.

Look at a three year old. They have to be taught that the way to resolve problems is not by punching someone...

Some people never grow up.

As for " Jesus wasnt talking about nation against nation. He was talking about your neighbor."

Do you really think that an era in which information crosses the planet in the blink of an eye can be compared to neighborhoods two thousand years ago?

In today's age, nations are neighbors.

Well done. Way to think for yourself.

How are we "shiiiiiit on for it..."? Have you ever been outside of the USA?

First of all, I have spent most of my life working in emergency management. Katrina was FEMA's fault... The president appointed a frat brother, with no experience in emergency man agent, to lead FEMA. Their funding was slashed to a ridiculous level, and when the day came to prove that they knew what they were doing, they IGNORED advise for the country's best scientists...

And, the $$$ they should have been giving to FEMA to help prepare for an event like Katrina, was given to the "war effort" to force a way of life on to a people who DON'T WANT IT... whether you think it is superior or not.

Take a moment... Stop listening to CNN and FOX news, and think for yourself...

Christianity teaches us to turn the other cheek. That is NOT an easy thing to do. BUT it is the RIGHT THING TO DO!
I do think for myself.....that's why I'm not a Bush supporter, nor a Bush basher......you should try it sometime. You libs are funny.....you actually believe that Bush is "ultra-conservative" ......the guy isn't even CLOSE to being a true conservative. BOTH political parties have moved further and further left.....that's why every time I vote, I need to hold my nose, as I did when I voted for Bush.

Now, please explain to me how George Bush is to take all the blame for Katrina, while Ray Nagin goes clear and free?

Any you sir, should stop listening to CBS, Katie Couric, and MoveOn.org.....

I don't know if you have spent any time outside of the USA, but if you have, then you know that different does not mean superior.

We, by this I mean Americans, are raised with patriotism in our lives. It is everywhere. In our schools, in our homes, in our churches, it is everywhere.

So, if that is the case for other countries as well, why are they inferior to us?

I do not think the people of N. Korea, etc. are inferior. They have BAD LEADERS, just like us.

Superiority does not equal higher moral standing. Christian values are a minority on this planet... Most Americans don't realize that. Christian morals are a MINORITY!

It is interesting that you immediately equated superiority to "moral standing"

Read the Iraqi Constitution. No law may be passed that will/would conflict with religious teachings (to be determined by religious leaders).
That's still much better than Iraq living under a dictator who had global plans beyond Iraq, as evidenced by his attempted taking of Kuwait...

just wondering if it would be OK if we suspended the biblical readings as justification for war... I seem to rember the terrorists doing the same thing.

So for the numbnuts, like Tailgait....that would mean that you actually CAN vote for someone without being a firm supporter of theirs.....Kerry is a hard-core liberal, and Bush is a semi-liberal......both bad, but one is worse, IMO.

I'll let you decide if living in Myanmar is better or worse than living in the US.

What other country/countries are superior to the US? Or all countries merely different?

G.W. was seen on video, telling a group of scientists who were warning him of the dangers of the upcoming hurricane season, saying "We are fully prepared."

Even his good buddy Brown couldn't believe it.

ABC World News:

VARGAS: When you look back on those days immediately following when Katrina struck, what moment do you think was the moment that you realized that the government was failing, especially the people of New Orleans?

BUSH: When I saw TV reporters interviewing people who were screaming for help. It looked - the scenes looked chaotic and desperate. And I realized that our government was-could have done a better job of comforting people.

A "democratic" election in which the Mullahs routinely prevented candidates who did not support their extremist views from running? How is this "democratic"?

The Iraqi consitution also states "No law can be passed that contradicts the principles of democracy." Does Iran's constitution have such a clause? And I just got through looking over the Iraqi constitution. Where does it state explicitly that unelected Mullahs determine which laws can be overturned on the basis of being "un-Islamic"?

I don't define superior... thats the whole bloody point.

As much as I would like to continue this debate, work calls.

And, if I am to emulate our leader Mr. G.W., when the heat is up, and someone might be doubting my opinion or decisions, I'd better take a vacation...
