Default Super Bowl Hero Smith Sentenced to Federal Prison

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2459119'

DENVER -- Former National Football League running back and Super Bowl record-holder Timmy Smith was sentenced in federal court on Friday to two and a half years in prison for conspiring to distribute cocaine.'

How ironic that he was sentenced in Denver?

Ask yourself this, if he was still playing, would he be going to jail for 2 and a half years? Jamal Lewis had the same charge, for a lot more coke. Whack system we have.

If I remember correctly, and I may not, Tim and his brother were busted after an actual deal with a undercover officer went down, then a car chase, then a bust.

Jamal let a buddy use a cell phone to set up a deal.

I don't think that Jamal got better treatment or that Tim was unjustly punished. Everything does not have to be a conspiracy.

Justice has finally been served. Wish it would have happened before our superbowl loss to them.
