Default NBA Draft "lottery" tonight

Time for the annual *ahem* drawing for the top spots in the June draft. Portland has the best odds at taking the #1 pick, but as any Nuggets fan can tell you, that doesn't mean all that much.

Woody Paige picked Boston out of a hat this morning, and last season he got Milwauke right, so who knows.....

Morrison next Bird?

Yeah right

Whoooohoooooooo! I've been waiting for this day for a month now. This is my NBA playoffs. I just hope the C's can move up into the top three of draft. But what a terrible year to be in the lottery. Not much frontline talent to choose from. Oh well, I'm still stoked. Go C's!!!

This is gonna be one of the few lotteries I can remember in which the Clips aren't represented.

But the good news is that I do believe we got an additional #1 pick due to the Marco Jaric/Sam Cassell rape that we pulled on Minnesota.

Might not be this year though.

Actually considering the strength of this draft that may be a good thing.

Precisely the reason why I'm not really lamenting the Nuggets lack of a 1st rounder this year. My only regret is that the pick was traded to get Kenyon Martin.

It was top 10 protected this year. Thats why Minnesota shut down KG at the end of the season and played a bunch of scrubs to secure a top 10 pick. At one point the Twolves were sitting on the 12 pick of the draft and it looked like it was going to the Clips before Mchale told KG to sit out for the pick. They lost like 8 of their last 9 games.

Once again the NBA will reward a team for tanking. Some things never change.

Yes right after the Blazers 25% chance to land the top pick is the Knicks with 19.9% maybe they will finally turn it around. Oh wait Chicago has that pick. Way to go Isiah Way to go.

Kind of makes you wonder if Isiah really knows that his name has become a punchline.

I heard that the Clippers have been in 18 of previous 20 lotteries.

Yes, and look at Portland, the team with the best odds. They'll be picking 4th. What a joke.

The Craptors get the 1st pick, the Bobcats the 2nd and the Bulls (from Isiah with a big red bow on it) the 3rd.

How's that Elton Brand for Tyson Chandler trade working out in Chicago?

it just amazes me what this guy does night in and night out. The guys keeps adding big $ guys that arent worth their contract. They got some decent youth but back in the winter in NY there was serious talks that he would trade Frye and other young guys. He gets rid of Wilkins after one year and now it seems he is going to give Larry Brown $40 million to sit home.

Man if I was still living in NY I would try and become a ball boy or towel boy cause he must pay them 1.5 million at least. The sad part is Dolan is fully supporting him and the Knicks are quite possibly the biggest laughing stock in all of sports.

I think, if I remember correctly, that was the year Denver won like 22 games. Denver Should have Duncan, if I remember correctly...

No Tombstone it was the Celtics that had the worst record that year. M.L. Carr was brought in to the coach the Celtics to the worst record in the NBA and he did so, successfully. I still remember sitting there on lotto night with my nachos, Larry Bird t-shirt and Celtic's cap on ready to celebrate the rebirth of the franchise with the selection of Tim Duncan. Obviously, it didn't turn out that way. Brrrrrrrrrr

Actually, it was Vancouver who had the worst record.
