Owners tackle issues in Denver
From staff and wire reports

NFL power brokers are assembled in Denver today to address stray issues and continue to chip away at two major ones.

As a follow-up to the spring meetings in Orlando, Fla., in March, NFL owners are meeting in downtown Denver. The proceedings began Monday with some committee meetings.

No monumental decisions are expected to be made after a busy offseason, highlighted by a new collective bargaining agreement between the owners and players.

"Generally, this meeting will be to wrap up unfinished business," said Joe Ellis, the Broncos' executive vice president of business operations.

The meetings will be led by outgoing commissioner Paul Tagliabue,

Yea, I am sure that they will all stop and put aside issues like moving a franchise into LA and picking up a new commissioner long enough to joyride Colfax in a bus.

That would be cool only if Meck straps Al Davis onto the top of the bus like the dead grandma in National Lampoon's Vacation...

We've been pretty close to getting Mr. Bowlen on the bus a couple times but he's usually flying out of a hotel and into a limo. Maybe this year. He did sign a copy of the Hooters Magazine article about the omane/bus for us though. That was pretty cool of him.

As far as Al Davis goes the closest we've been to having any raiders on the bus was after the Raiders game last year. Myself, Disco and a few other Omaners were rolling down I-70 back to the shop when we saw the Raider team bus being escorted by police. Disco pulled OF1 next to their bus and several of us gave them the bird. Not sure which raider it was but he got pissed off and did the same to us. It was probably one of the funnest moments of last year. There is no doubt in my mind that atleast half their team saw us give them the Mile High Salute.
