Default Greatest Bronco TD Celebration

With the league cracking down on endzone celebrations yet again because of guys such as Chad Jackson, Steve Smith, TO, etc. I was wondering if anyone had any great memories of Broncos celebrations. Mine by far and always will be Gerald Wilhite and his backflips. What an athelete to be able to pull that will all that old school heavy a$$ pading

The Mile High Salute. Quick, simple and team oriented.

The salute or kyle johnsons "riding the donkey" on his first td. I had to rewind it to make sure I wasn't imagining things.

Sammy Winder's Mississippi Mud Dance was up there.

Anyone remember Clarance Kay's after touchdown spike that resulted in a seperated shoulder?

I have always loved the mile high salute. It was perfect and simple but carried a lot of weight.

Shannon Sharpe taking the tape off his shoes to expose the "Big Play Shay" text on his cleet to the very unhappy crowd at Arrowhead. How many yards did he have that day? 214, an NFL record for a Tight End.

Maybe I am a little biased...

Seriously though, the Mile High Salute the way TD did it, to his teammates. Usually with Griffith, or Eddie Mac.

Mile High Salute is ours. It salutes the Fans, the Team and coaches that helped get him there and is the legacy of TD. Compared to the ego-centric celebrations of players like T.O. and Chad Johnson, it's all team. It can be used anytime, but in a really big TD, it's awesome and the crowd goes crazy.

Gotta go with the one timer in Alfred Williams as he picked up a fumble and dove head first into the endzone. As I recall, he injured himself a bit with that hilarious dive back in the '97 season (or was it the '98?) Nothing spells pure comedy gold better than a 275lb heaving defender who has never gotten a td.

Of course, the Mississippi Mud crawl that Sammy Winder used to do was always good for a laugh as well.

Mississippi Mud Stomp by Sammy Winder is tops on the list
Mile High Salute by TD
Backflip by Gerald W.

Elway as much as I love him had some of the goofiest celebrations, when he did the Salute he did it left handed,

No doubt the Mile High Salute.

Although I did like it when Portis mocked Priest enroute to that 5-TD game! He did the little jump/shrug thing Priest always does as he crossed the goal-line.

when I was a kid....Michael Jackson was cool, Thriller had just come out and moon walking was cool and I loved to try and do it...(I could do it pretty well)
Butch Johnson played for the Broncos for a year or 2 and he moon walked when he caught a TD pass, I always loved that as a kid.

My 2nd favorite was Shannon's Bulkamania flex, when he'd go to the Incredible Bulk poster hanging at the South Stands.

The most powerful spiker of the ball may have been Riley Odoms. He really hammered the ball into the turf after some TD's, classic 70's style.

John Elway put a dent into the LA Coliseum turf after a TD in his rookie year. He scored on a QB Draw and the rookie Elway gave Denver the lead 20-19, with 2 minutes left.

Elway threw down the hardest spike in team history perhaps, and I so wanted him to win the game. But Chris Bahr beat us at the buzzer 22-20.

I love the Sammy Winder dance the most.

Wilhite's is up there as well.

I like the Mile High Salute but not as entertaining as Winder's dance, which was classic.

I like Plummer's kick ball his first season on MNF against the Raiders....he gave it a little punt across the endzone.
