Danny Almonte, an outfielder and left-handed pitcher from James Monroe High in the Bronx, N.Y., was named Wednesday to the East team for the All-American Baseball Game presented by PlayStation on June 7 in Albuquerque. Almonte, 19, made national news in 2001 when his team was disqualified from the Little League World Series for his being older than the 12-year-old limit. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/preps...-almonte_x.htm |

Can't believe he's 19 already.
Wow, time flies. I heard he's a fringe MLB prospect at best but I may be wrong. |

My cousin played in that game two yrs ago and won the home run derby. We go to the game every yr. There is some serious talent out there.
