Default deteriorating rights

....or as the Bush backers would say (If BushCo does it, it must be within the confine of the law).

Thank you for turning the US into a nation without laws. When does this BS (Bush-****) stop? Who the f*** does he thin he is, and why do we allow him to continually step on the constitution as if it were a doormat?

Sure, there are at a maximum only two years left, but just think of what the boy genius can do in two years! It's absolutely scary what this group has done in a matter of 5-1/2 years. I am extremely worried about what will happen to our country if this administration continues on it's current path. The erosion of civil rights will, in my belief, eventually cause an uprising from those who still have a set of hutzbaahs!

Don't worry, republicans will break out the "have to stop Gays" platform at all costs, (since it's all they have left) come election time and keep this idiot in power.

Don't forget other barn-burners such as the National Anthem being sung in english, flag-burning & family values (although the Gay thing could be included in that I guess)..all tried and true to fire up the base and keep the middle ground virtually blind to all else that happens. Of course, then those issues disappear after the election is over.....just like Gay Marriage did.

They fall for it everytime......suckers.

I wonder when we will wake up and notice where this country is headed. All of which is based on the fraudulent fear tactics of the dictatorship which is currently in "POWER"!

We'll see how this plays out. I'm for waiting till all the facts are in. MSNBC is a little too far left for me to believe everything they put out. "Flag Burning" in my estimation, is sacrilage. If one were to perform such an act, or believe it's a satisfactory response to something that they didn't agree with needs to move to Cuba.......dman

Hey it's all for your protection and safety...so shut up, sit down and waive the flag or you'll be paid a visit in the near future, if you know what I mean.

My point was that this is an issue that's trotted out at election time to get people fired up and then after the vote, it is rarely heard of again until the next election comes around. Nothing is ever done about the amendment...why? well geeze, why discard a hot button issue they use to fire up with? That's crazy because they may need that again at some point in the future.

The story is from the USA Today. Flag burning is sacrilege but spying on Americans in their homes ranks down the list a ways, huh?

You guys jump "WAY" to quick. Try letting it play out and see what happens. If this is proven to be true, I will tell you, it's a big problem. And I too, will be very upset with the Pres. if he was behind it..dman

*FLAG BURNING is sacrilage. Don't try to compare ANY act to this. One of the most contemptable acts a US citizen can perform. This STANDS ALONE, nothing else is comparable..

I think some things are a little too dangerous to "let play out and see what happens".....maybe that's just me.

I agree but, I'm not going to divert the thread into some debate about this thing...you know what I ment by bringing it up and the passion you show over it further proves my point about it. Here's an idea, how about writing your Congressperson and asking why there hasn't been more done to get that Admendment passed? Why the delay? Why does it vanish after every election and why is there nothing more done about it? I'm very tired of hearing about it every four years...especially when everyone is basically in favor of it.

It sure does seem like ""it's just a piece of f-ing paper" to some! That's what bothers me so much. We continually sit back and whatch as it is abused and ignored. The citizens of this country have turned into VEGETABLES!

The good news is that Americans will wake up and take up the fight once they are pushed enough..........the question is will it be to damn late.

I'm afraid that only 1/3 of our countrymen have spines, the rest just meander along hoping all will turn out just peachy!
