I don't see why they went to 3 divisions. That's what really screwed everything up. There weren't these major seeding problems before.

More paper champions Jason. It ruined the classic Indiana Highschool tournament with one high school state champion. Too many coaches b****ed about the disparity and got it done. NBA wanted more paper division champs!

Yeah, but Hoosiers was 50 years ago, and the smaller schools just had very little chance of winning anything under the old system. What they should have done was a 4 tier split dependant on school population. Each tier has it's own tournament and crowns a state champ, then the winners compete in a Final Four of sorts to crown the Super Champ. This way the smaller schools have a more legitimate shot at a "state title", while still maintaining the spirit of having singular overall champ.

dammit. Dammit dammit dammit. Though my opinion of Dirk (overrated, not clutch, ugly) still hasn't changed, that was a HELL of a series! Good luck ludo, llama, and rulon.

Bob, you can suck a big floppy donkey dick.

Way to quote your own previous posts, you redneck pompous ass.

Good luck Mavs, and lets hope for another 7 game series.
I thought Dallas was done after Ginobili's 3, but they nutted up and got 'er done.

The only question in this series is how many games will it take for the Suns to move on.

The Suns have a shot, but they're very unpredictable, at least as far as how successfully teams can match up with them. Their style of play is predictable, though, and a lot depends on how well they can hold up physically with their short rotation. I think the Dallas centers are going to sit a lot in this series, much like Kaman did for the Clippers. GO SUNS!!

Bob, you are an idiot. Calling TD a choke artist after he played a great playoff series against the Mavs is just idiotic.

TD is this generation's best player (post MJ) and he proved it in this series against a great team.

A choke artist has 2 MVPs, three NBA Finals MVPs, many other awards you cant even comprehend in your brain because its not that big BOB.

When I said congrats to Mavs fans, it was more for Llama and others ones and not you, you idiot.

Paper champs is a good term for the Nuggets. Under the old system, which made sense, the Nuggets would have been the 8th seed. But under this system, they are division champs and got the 3rd seed. The Clippers were the ones that took advantage. By tanking at the end of the season, they got to play the worst possible team in the first round. It's like the Clippers had the #1 seed for a round.

I think the Mavs matchup well w/ the Suns and they have the athletes to play the Suns tempo.

Gonzo, you have been officially pimped by Bob. Live with that.
The Mavs just won the biggest playoff series in the history of that franchise and all you can do is think about me? Wow.

Just be happy the Mavs won because you would have looked foolish jumping on the Heat's bandwagon. Not that you don't look foolish already considering you jumped off the Bulls bandwagon to join the Mavs.

I mean you are not even a real fan. You just became a Mavs fan after the Bulls fell on hard times. That's like Taco John leaving the Broncos for the Patriots because Denver wasn't winning.

The one post in which you tried to front like you were a fan and talk about the history of the Mavs was filled with inaccuracies. I had to correct YOU on the history of the Mavs. And I'm not even a fan of the team!

Rulon Velvet is the only poster here who has been pimpin' the Mavs. You just joined this year. You are a joke. Mavs fan my ass.

The Suns are going to win this series. The Mavericks like to spread the court and play small ball and who plays small ball better than the Suns? The Mavs can't go big in this series because Diop and Dampier can't guard Diaw's drives and Tim Thomas's outside shot. So they are rendered useless for this series.

So to match the Sun's the Mavs have to cut their rotation. Terry, Daniels, Dirk, Howard, Harris, Stackhouse, and Van Horn are going to get all the run. That makes 7 guys in their rotation with Diop/Damp getting spots minutes to matchup with Kurt Thomas incase he actually plays.

Nash matches up with Terry
Bell matches up with Daniels
T.Thomas matches up with Notwitzki
Marion matches up with Howard

And that leaves Diaw with a major advantage on whoever gaurds him. Stack, Harris, and Van Horn are all going to have trouble with this guy.

I like the Suns in six. With atleast two blowouts along the way.

This is simply a bad matchup for the Mavs.

who wants to play the suns tempo? I hope the suns win just because I think d'antoni has turned himself into somewhat of a maverick and its fun to watch him go.

Normally i would say that the Suns would roll in this series but the injuries are going to catch up with Phoenix now. There is too much fire power on the Mavs for the Suns to handle. Jason Terry is a stud and he is the true Superstar of the Mavericks, not Dirk like a lot of people like to believe.
