Says he was surprised by the pick since he hadn't talked to the Broncos at all. Said that he was contacted by Shanahan right before the pick was made.

Said it was tough sometimes at Vandy, but he was encouraged by the improvement late in his career there. They opened the offense up and threw the ball more in his senior year.

Praised Shanahan for his success with QB's and is excited to work with him. Said it's a great situation for him and that he can't wait to get to work.

Contract talks haven't started yet, but he let his agent know that he wants to get a deal done quickly and be in camp. Called the Broncos one of the best organizations in the NFL, so he doesn't forsee any problems in negotiations.
