Sorry this is quite OT, but I am having a problem with Mozila Firefox, and I have no idea who to ask. I like Firefox alot better then IE, so if anyone can tell me how to fix it, i would greatly apprechiate it.
http://sports.yahoo.com/top/collegebroadcast/teams/jps This link was posted in a forum here a couple days ago. After you click a video you get a video to pop up. the Video will not work on my Firefox, but works fine on Internet Explorer. Theres another link underneat the Video that says 'Change Settings' When I click on this in IE, it tells me that I have Windows Media Player version 10.0. But when I click on it in Firefox it tells me I only have Windows Media Player 6.0 I have un-installed both Firefox, and Window's Media player a couple times, but each time it doesn't fix it. Basically what i am asking, Does anyone have any idea how to make Firefox recongnize Window Media Player 10 on Firefox. Thanks |

I'm using firefox and it works fine for me. Is your version recent? Does your firewall have something to do with it?

Same thing here with me. I just got a new PC, and since I installed Firfox on it on Monday, videos on webpages wont work, and when I try and install the pugin required, it tells me it cant find the correct plugin to allow the video to work.
I have Firefox on my laptop as well, and everything works fine with that Firefox. They recently updated Firefox, so that may have something to do with it. I may check and see if they have some forums on Firefox's website, see if this a widespread issue. Hopefully it is, then there will be a fix for it soon. |

I was a huge firefox supporter until I realized that the more you use it, the less cool it becomes. I still dont care for IE much, but 99% of web pages work in IE. |

Thank you very much Beerslug. That was a quick and easy fix. Seems I was just missing some silly plug-ins.
http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=206213 Is the page i used. It gives you links to three files to download, and then the WMP will work fine. Thank you very much again =) |
