KSU realizes this is Miami of Fla, not of Ohio right?

Ron Prince is bringing a new scheduling attitude to K-State. We have Louisville on the schedule this year and it will only continue to get better. I'll always be grateful to Snyder for resurrecting a dead program, but I'm looking forward to Prince taking it to the next level...

that was Coach Mac's scheduling philosophy, bring on all comers. It's carried through 3 coaching changes. The roadtrip to UGA will be fun, although the game might not be that much fun but we get FSU in Folsom next year.

I think we have a good shot as long as Coker is still the coach in a few years.

I think SoCal would probably agree with you

Nothing against KSU, but why the hell is Miami finding such random teams to play instead of reviving one of the best rivalries out there in Catholics vs Convicts in the Notre Dame vs Miami series? Man those were some of the best games in the college game.

Actually bro, as the article notes, we tried to schedule ND. We also have a home and home starting next year with OU.

Interesting to see we'll play KSU. Hey Saul....dont let the people on the Planet see that picture of you in that Canes shirt as a kid during gameweek.

This likely won't happen until the '09 season, because Miami has already filled their non-conference schedule up to then...

Update: Tenatively, the home-and-home series is set for the 2011 and 2012 seasons. K-State would go to Miami on September 24, 2011 and Miami would return the trip September 8, 2012. The contract has been sent to the Miami AD, so it's not quite official...

The main reason is economics. Almost all of the big schools want that extra home game. So most schools are starting to shun home and away non conferference games. They'd rather get a school to travel in for the weekend and send them away with a hefty check for the trouble. Home games rake in the millions.
