Default MSNBC confirms: Outed CIA agent was working on Iran

On Chris Matthews' Hardball Monday evening, just moments ago, MSNBC correspondent David Shuster confirmed what RAW STORY first reported in February: that outed CIA officer Valerie Plame Wilson was working on Iran at the time she was outed (Watch the video of Shuster's report here).

RAW STORY's Larisa Alexandrovna broke the story earlier this year, which went unnoticed by the mainstream media (Read our full story).

According to current and former intelligence officials, Plame Wilson, who worked on the clandestine side of the CIA in the Directorate of Operations as a non-official cover (NOC) officer, was part of an operation tracking distribution and acquisition of weapons of mass destruction technology to and from Iran.

Reports Shuster in this rush transcript: "INTELLIGENCE SOURCES SAY VALERIE WILSON WAS PART OF AN OPERATION THREE YEARS AGO TRACKING THE PROLIFERATION OF NUCLEAR WEAPONS MATERIAL INTO IRAN. AND THE SOURCES ALLEGE THAT WHEN MRS. WILSON'S COVER WAS BLOWN, THE ADMINISTRATION'S ABILITY TO TRACK IRAN'S NUCLEAR AMBITIONS WAS DAMAGED AS WELL."

This was a two-fer:

Slime Joe for trying to tell the truth about Iraq.

(Pre-emptively) axe Valerie for any truth she might tell about
the REAL target - Iran.

Where's your proof? MSNBC? Give me a break. You need to stop trying to connect the dots until your pencil is a bit sharper. A "dull" tip just doesn't get it done, and it's messy when you are finally complete. Too much required "erasing" needed because the facts weren't correct to begin with...dman

Anyone who still thinks the WH didn't out her is part of the 12% who think Iraq attacked us.

Where's the proof? Quick to throw a group into the barrel and start shooting them like fish. I'll wait for this one to play out before I jump into any barrel offered by either side.....dman

You gotta admit, Dman... This looks pretty badly.

I don't think it's treason, because it's not treasonous to be stupid.

But wow... Blowing the cover of an undercover operative in an attempt at political cover. That's going to leave a mark.

It may, and I'll agree, however till the facts are in, I'm not jumping off the fence. Though, the eyebrow went up on this one...dman

I was being sarcastic. Actually, she was one of those saying saddam didn't have ****. And he didn't. Bushii is bogeying up the iran intell too, but the media isn't really onto that story, and I really stopped following it.

I'll tell you this guys, if GW is hacking on us and playing shenanigans like this, ASSUMING IT'S TRUE, I will be thoroughly pissed. NOT just pissed, but thoroughly PISSED. Not sure what I will do. I've already inquired through my sources in DC that IF I drop my retirement papers, they'll retire me whenever I desire. Hmmmmm....I just don't know if I could work for this guy anymore if he dealt these cards. BUT, I'll be sure to give him a quick kick in the ass if he did, right AFTER he signs my retirement certificate...dman

I've served the country proudly and it's Commander in chief for a long time. He screws up the immigration issue, then this? I'm telling you, I'm not the only one who is feeling somewhat "betrayed", ESPECIALLY on the issue of illegal immigration. He doesn't fix that problem, and I mean NOW (I'll be glad to go man the border, I still carry my M16, 9MM, 60 cal, and sawed off SG quals), he is nothing short of a LAME DUCK president for the next two years. That is the LAST thing this country needs. And, he'll be censured , maybe brought up on impeachment (and I don't blame the DEMS one bit if they do it after they take congress and the house)........the guy is a knucklehead right now, can't see the trees for the damn forest.....If I had done my job on the "boats" like he's done his recently, I'd be dead at the bottom of the ocean inside the rotting , rusted hull of a submarine...dman

censuring or impeaching , pretty worthless right now , I wouldnt waste the money to do it , majority of the people see whats going on , we dont need a big ole circus right now , just call him an idiot , by pass him as much as possible and get back to realy protecting America by securing our borders and checking containers , getting control of this illegal imagration , work on gas prices ........but Fox in mexico will make our job alot harder , I read somewhere that mexico wants to make pot and coke legal , that should increase drug smuggling .......if mexico does make those drugs legal , we will have ot concider putting the military on the border , none of us want that , but we may not have a choice ........ I have 6 wonderful children , this is al of our childrens future we are playing with

Bingo.

The same 12% who think MSNBC is the first or only source to report this story about Plame.

It must be confusing to be a Bush supporter nowadays, what with so much of the criticism of Der Chimpenfuhrer coming from your own side.
