Default Thank the Football Gods this did not happen

The Broncos spent several weeks on the deal, and it was only after Harrington rebuffed Denver that the team pursued Cutler. Harrington, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2002 draft, knew he had little chance of beating out Plummer

there was some other near bumbles.....like having Donte Whitner very high on the board. I can't imagine Denver using their #1 on him.....but then Denver has made some ridiculous picks a few years back.

that was if they didn't get Cutler...since Whitner was picked higher, the idea was to trade down and pick Maroney

Yes. Cutler solves 2 problems good backup & QBOF...I could see Shanny going another way if he didnt get value as a back up.

Can you imagine the shock around here if Whitner was still around and was our #15 pick! Thank you Buffalo for picking him at #8!
