What a bad ass. Taking it in stride. Maybe he can send Lelie half of his right nut, because Lelie has none and Jake's got more than enough stones for two people.

Now THAT is the reason I'm glad we've still got Jake at the Helm. Cutler's got a great example of leadership to follow. Way to be a class act Jake

Jake has the heart of a lion and stones of titanium. I hope that he sticks around the Broncos for several years just to piss off the fans.

just another reason im behind this guy 100%.
im still stunned and unhappy about drafting cutler, but maybe the best of both worlds can happen. obviously at some point we wouldve needed someone to groom under plummer (i just wanted to wait at least a couple more years), so maybe plummer can villify himself and lead this team to a championship before riding off into the sunset and handing the team over to cutler (who by most accounts is a capable candidate). i have alot of doubts about whether that situation can and will play out (especially considering we didnt bring in an impact player with that #15 pick), but here's to hoping. nice to see plummer getting some respect on this thread. he deserves it. |

As much as I want to see Cutler play and you don't use a #11 pick on someon who you do not expect to make an impact early I was disappointed for Jake....guy is a class act and someone I just find myself rooting for cuz everyone else counts him out. I wanted to see him finish up in Denver and win me the 50 bucks I bet my brother that Jake wins a super bowl before Mcnabb (he's an Eagles fan).

Jake is the ****ing man. I look forward to him leading this team for the next couple years.
The best part of his comments were him looking forward to having Cutler in here to make him work even harder. Class act, great person. |

Jake has always been a great guy but I think his work ethic just improved 100 fold and man we'll see him compete harder than ever now! I can't wait to see Jake push himself and Cutler learn from it!

All the Denver fans that dont like Jake are total morons .
As they said in Boston , John Elway aint walking thru that door . If you cant get behind someone with as much heart as Jake then go watch American Idol or something $hit like that ... |

What else can you say? The guy is confident in his abilities and obviously appreciates being in Denver.

Jake handled that extremly well. He knows he has the role still and has the ability to fight for it again next year. Im sure he wasnt hopping for joy when he heard but it sure didnt look like he was worried.

We are never be in the running for a guy like Cutler because:
a. The Broncos are always competitive and never get into the top 10 b. A guy of Cutler's ability usually goes #1 overall... but the comination of this draft class and his small-school status allowed him to slide C. Bungled picks by half of the top ten pickers allowed Cutler to slide even further D. The leverage gained over two years of masterful offseason manuvering allowed us to manufacture an 11th pick essentially out of thin air The planets perfectly alligned on this one, and not taking Cutler would have been the worst mistake Mike ever made. This takes nothing away from Plummer... it just happens to be the way the cards fell into place. |

It doesn't mean that Jake is done here, it just means that when he is, we aren't standing around with our pants down and our thumbs up our butts. And us getting excited about that replacement doesn't mean we hate Jake or want him to fail. Jake is the man. Right now. And we're all behind him...except Taco. |
