Whoah. I watched a lot of video of thise kid and most was from game film. Then I watched this hilight clip. The improvement in his footwork is amazing and in so short a time. Watch some of the throws he makes. His accuracy, especially at 30+ yards is disgusting. I'm getting so stoked for this kid.

What's scary to me is he is in the perfect situation to maximize his potential.

Mike Shanahan, that ****ing running game and some solid receivers.

We got ourselves a good quarterback. For the ones who hate the pick, they will come around when they see Cutler in action.

Yeah Javon Walker, our defense, our run game.

It feels wrong to be admitting this, but I'll be watching all the Broncos preseason games just to see Cutler.

Whats funny is that our running game opens up the passing game but when Cutler comes in it could be out passing game opens up the run

Thats the thing.. WE STILL CAN. Thats why i love this pick. Shanahan is competing and he rebuilding. Aslong as Shanahan keeps Plummer in check and only lets him "manage" the game, we can win plenty of games. Jay Cutler will sit back and learn the system under Plummer and next year it's going to be open competition.

Javon Walker, Brandon Marshall, and Tony Scheffler are all good targets for Jake Plummer next year.

It's going to be so sweet to have a QB who can bomb it more than 40 yards. Ashley Lelie (if still here) could have 1300+ yards easily.

On the flip side, I'm totally in love with Brodie Croyle.

I think it would be supercool if these two QBs were competing against each other in the AFC West for the next 15 years.

Its OK Bob, you are perfectly welcome to enjoy great football too!

And you are right about what a score this is for both Cutler and Denver. its so rare for a true franchise top-teir Qb to make it right away from college to a winning team with a stable organization and a coach who is a QB/offensive guru on it.

Usually, the better teams have to mold a work in progress with significant flaws into a workable soultion at QB.

Shanny must be seeing suger plum fairies dancing in his dreams now.

The key thing with Cutler is that he has just died and gone to heaven too! He has NEVER had any weapons or O-line worth a darn and had to run for his life on every snap at Vandy.

He also played against some of the very best defenses in college football with his division IIa caliber O-line and WR . This will make him MUCH more prepared for the NFL than either Young or Leinnert who both had starting NFL O-lines in front of them and 1st round WR and RB to throw too. Often with lesser caliber defenses they were going against.

Its be a big shift for Cutler, once he adapts to the speed of the game the plays should unfold for him in real slow motion.

Now we are all going to see how good this kid REALLY can be with a stable O-line that gives him time to balance his check book before throwing the ball and a solid running game to take ALL that pressure off of him.

I bet Al Davis sh**t a giant Brick when he saw us move up for Cutler.

Yes, I am looking forward to that. I like Croyle alot. That was a good pick for you. Its actually pretty cool kinda, the whole division is basically entering a new era of young QBs all at once. We're all going to have to get used to all the new young guns.

I hope Croyle does just well enought to help those poor kids on his parents ranch ..... heck he can even win all but 2 games a year for all I care. It seemed like a desperate move to grab Croyle after Denver took Cutler - should be fun to watch each of them. I'd rather have Shanny as a coach though. I think Pennington got worse with the presence of your new coach Bob.

Small first goal for Cutler in his first year starting I want him to beat the chiefs at Arrowhead.

Denver's move had nothing to do with Croyle being drafted. We have an old QB.

Virtually impossible. I think only 2 QBs have done that.

No, but Elway was pretty annoying as a QB. I hated him.
