I'm hopeing Cutler or Bunkley drops a few spots

I'll go with Cutler

After that who the hell knows, if we can't guess #15 no sense in trying to guess #61

Garcia my friend, if we took that many 'turkeys' I'd put my foot through my TV.

Seriously - assuming we keep #15, it will be White or DW2. We may trade up for Davis or trade down a bit to add more picks. (yes, I'm on the fence re: trades)

I'm too lazy to do this on my own, but I really like this and will copy Hotrod's answer.

BTW, the great thing about Garcia is that he never lets homerism affect his decision-making.

If we trade up, I think we'll select Matt Leinart if he's available. If not, Vernon Davis.

If we stay at 15, I think we'll pick Chad Jackson, to my chagrin...

You forget that I have universal mod editing powers even when Garcia locks it.

I guarantee you I'll have the right pick come tomorrow...

And I'll take sig/avatar bets that we won't take a QB in round 1 (trade or otherwise).

This banter about the Bills 8 pick does bring a grin. We've got the picks in later rounds to afford a move like that if either Gravy Train or Leinart slip. The earliest we'll know is right after the Commish says, "With the 7th overall pick the Oakland Raiders select..." Because Shanny isn't going to make a move and be in a spot where Greasy Al can tail pipe us. Either Gravy train or Leinart will be off the board by then, but it's reasonable to believe one of them will be available at the 8 spot.

I honestly think Shanny is going in a direction no one expects, we can get a good TE in the later rounds (Klop, Fasano) WR (Marshall, Hass, Stovall) RB (Humes) I am going to take a stab in the dark and say that Denver will take Donte Whitner from The Ohio State University since Huff will be off the board more than likely when Denver picks, They will be grooming for a few years, he played some CB in college and is a ball hawk, he isn't going to be the rip your head off saftey but a very good coverage saftey that will help us out in the nickel.

Backers and secondary are solid. Gravy Train is a hump buster next year. Plug n' play, ready to go. There are good TEs in the draft no doubt, but Gravy Train, and write this down fold it up and put it in your pocket, is a future HOFer, barring a career ending injury. 4.38, soft hands, 42 inch vert, and 250lbs of cut marble. It isn't fair to have those skills. Get it done Shanny.

I would love for Davis to land in Denver.

Unfortunately I don't see him dropping past SF @ 6. They've gotta be loving him for the same reasons we do. Tremendous amount of pressure off of the QB due to matchup troubles. Too fast for LBs, too high for DBs and once the train gets rolling you best get off the tracks. If VD goes to the 7, I think Young has to be on the board with him for us to have a prayer of moving to the 8 to catch The Train. It doesn't look good for us, but anything is possible on draft day. Maybe the Fade pulls a Minnie-Caca and blows their spot. Any Ratbird fans availble to make sure Billick has SFs phone number?

Davis is going to SF at 6 and Vince after him at 7 to the Fade.

Young won't be on the board at 7.

Titans take Young (the owner wants Young, and the owner wins) and the Raiders take Leinart.

(I consulted my crystal ball prior to this post)

I think any hope of Denver getting Davis dies if Tenn. picks Leinart...and the prospects are already pretty grim. But God help Shanny if VD is on the board @ 8 and we don't bust skulls to get him....
