they had one of these "blessed" people on Hannity and Colmes, and Alan Colmes has won my eternal respect. This woman is ranting about God's divine justice on american soliders for the US being tolerant of gays, and he just goes...lady, what is wrong with you? Excellent moment from Colmes.

Fred Phelps is an admired figure in the Democratic Party. He got invites to (and attended!) both Clinton inaugurations.

The Dems put party before principle in having this slimy scumbag in their tent.

And Bush attended functions with, and received funds from, Arab terrorists and Hezbollah supporters in Florida. I wonder how many people are invited to an inauguration who are not vetted? For instance, their letterhead says Church of Christ, Kansas City, and they get an invite?

The home of Fred Jr., Phelps' eldest son, located in the Westboro compound, acted as Gore's campaign quarters for one of his senate races, and the Westboro compound was host to a fundraiser. Numerous photos exist on the internet of Fred Phelps Jr. and his second wife, Betty Phelps-Schurle, posing with Al and Tipper Gore in Phelps Jr.'s home.
