Darn.

Thanks for the clarification, Jori.

I actually hope Brampton goes far. How much of an impact could he really have for the Avs until next season?

Frozen Four results:

Boston College beats North Dakota 6-5; Jordan Parise picked a bad day to have arguably his worst game of the season. Toews and Oshie had solid games. NoDak will likely lose some players (i.e. Smaby, Stafford); hopefully for their sakes, the great freshmen stay at least one more year.

Wisconsin doubles up Maine 4-2. Great atmopshere; Wisconsin hockey fans are some of the best.

I'm picking Wisconsin to win it on Saturday, giving the WCHA five straight NCAA championships.

I don't know. I was hoping he'd come back and pull a Svatos of the last playoffs for us or something. Cripes, if they'd bench May and put Wolski in, I'd be happy. He'd have to contribute more than the Turd does.

I see what you mean about Wojo coming in under the radar. Perhaps he could replace the void left by Svatos.

Anyone else watching the Stars/Ducks game? Mike Modano just left the game, looking very hurt.

With the season he's been having, that would be a huge blow to the Stars. It looked to be the left knee or groin. He wasn't putting any weight on it.

Yeah mt...I was watching that game when it happened. Nothing dirty...he must have caught his skate. Whatever happened he looked to be in serious pain.

The disclosing of hockey injuries is pretty funny to me. They are deeming it a 'lower body injury', which means pretty much anything.

At least they could pull out the win tonite, unlike those stupid Queens.

They can call it what they want...but Modano was clutching his left knee immediately before he rolled over on his face.

That's what I was thinking too. I noticed on the bottom line on ESPN, they just ran the knee part.

That could seriously put a hitch in the Stars giddyup.

If I'm the Avs I call him up the second Brampton's season ends, the lack of scoring depth right now is alarming. To be able to add he and Tanguay for the playoffs would be a real shot in the arm.

I'm going out on a limb here, but I'm gonna say that Wolski doesn't have much left to prove at the junior level.

Brace yourselves Avalanche fans...

"Theodore could play Sunday

By Terry Frei
Denver Post Staff Writer

Avalanche coach Joel Quenneville said today that Peter Budaj will open in the Colorado net Saturday against St. Louis, but that Jose Theodore could get his first start for his new team as soon as Sunday against the Minnesota Wild.

Theodore, who went through a full practice with the Avs today at the Family Sports Center, hadn't played since Jan. 31 when he suffered a fractured heel in a fall outside his Montreal-area home during the Olympic break. The Avalanche acquired him from the Canadiens on March 8, hoping he would be able to play before the end of the regular season. And that plan still is apparently on track.

"I think he looks good in net," Quenneville said of Theodore, 29. "I think he's working on his timing each and every day and feels better physically, feels better in his timing and how he's moving. . . Sunday is a possibility."

Theodore said it "might be the case" that he makes his debut against the Wild Sunday at the Pepsi Center.

"I feel really good," he said. "Now it's been a couple of practices. I'm going to practice again tomorrow morning, so pretty much right now it's getting out there and playing. I guess the real test will be when I start playing. That's when you get your timing back. There's so much you can do in practices, but at one point, you have to make adjustments in the games."
The wait, he said, "has been a long time. I'm anxious to play for my new team in front of the new fans. I'm looking forward to it, but just taking it a day at a time."

If Theodore doesn't play Sunday, the next possibility would be the regular season's final home game, against Phoenix Tuesday. The Avs then finish the season at Calgary, Vancouver and Edmonton."

Assist 50, Point #98

Edit: Guess that was #51, they credited him with 2 assists on Wednesday night. Hopefully he'll make Point #100 a goal.

Crosby with a 3 point night so far. A goal and two assists. 90 points on the year. Still half the game to go. Unfortuneatly, we'll win this game it looks like (currently 4-0 over FLA), but at least Sid is having a great game.

This effort will really give him a shot at 100 points on the year. He has 6 remaining games to get 10 points. Hopefully he can get another point or two on the night.

EDIT: They must have changed the goal. It was originally credited to Ovechkin on NHL.com, but now it says that it was Brian Willsie.

Ovechkin remains at 99 points on the season.

Crosby with another point.

A 4 point night for Sid. His 2nd career 4 point game.

91 points on the year. 9 more to go with 6 games to get them.

Crappies. I'm going Saturday. Also had to endure the Wednesday night "Let's keep the Avs on a permanent PK" debacle...
