We're ahead of the Devils by a goal late in the third.

Id basically concede to STL if we win this game. We'd only be up by a point and I could see STL losing out easily.

NJ ties it with 19 seconds left. Now hopefully they can win it in OT.
A point still sucks though.

Damn, Madden almost won it for them with a second left.

Understandable, but my point was...if Gaborik is an unrestricted free agent after next season...the decision could very well be out of Minnesota's hands. It wouldn't make sense to move him even if he was asking for the max. It makes sense only if he decides that he wants to move on to a system that would better allow him to play to his offensice capabilities.

What it could be telling the fans though...is that the Wild still play a ****ty brand of hockey.

Gaborik's only 24, and I would think he'd only be an RFA after next season.

He might want to leave Minnesota; I've not seen any indication of that, but who knows.

The Wild certainly are not the most exciting team in the league, but they still pack the house for each game.

Once again you're right Jori. I just looked up the free agency rules...and I don't believe he'll be an UFA until the 2007-2008 season.

Minnesota still sucks...full house or not.

Dan "The Man" Hinote with the luckiest goal of his career. Unbelievable.

I'll take the points any way we can get them. At this time of year they don't ask how, they ask how many.

Sakic now has a 10 game points streak with three more assists tonight. Congrats to Rob Blake on picking up the 200th goal of his career.

Too bad the Wings couldn't end it for us in regulation. The Oil did some ass whoopin on the Yotes too, unfortunately.

Nothing bad happened to anyone in the game did it? Of course I couldn't watch it because its on the ever- infamous-in-my-household OLN.

Good Lord, what the hell is Khan doing in my avatar? I thought April Fools was past!

No one got injured, thankfully. Laaksonen did miss the game with the flu though.

Vancouver is officially in serious trouble. They're still 2 points up on San Jose for the 8th playoff spot, but the Sharks have 3 games in hand on them. They're also only 2 up on L.A. and they've got a game in hand on them. It's a shame that the Avs are going to help the Canchokes out when they beat San Jose on Wednesday night.

do you think cb24 is now coming back feeling good after his kings just posted two wins by shutouts? He better come in b4 tomorrow's game when reality check (into the boards) meets his team. Ducks high powered offense versus his defensive dominance lately. Ducks score 4 Kings 2. Selanne/McDonald each with two points. BTW: Selanne is comeback player of the year IMHO but isnt everyone since there was no hockey last year?

It is unbelievable. Especially considering Hinote had two chances in the first at an open net and couldn't figure out how to get the puck on his stick. Oh well. Number 13 comes through!

Funny. A guy I work with says Blake's goal goes in so he rushes off to put his two little ones in bed so he can settle in and watch OT in peace. Comes back to the TV to see Budaj skating off and the 4-3 score. He thinks, Man that is the fastest OT Goal in history. Then sees they won in regulation.

DOH!

Well crosby should finish on the top10 for scoring.

He exceeded expectations - he is the ONLY "star" power the team has - he's being used to keep the team in pitt, get a new areana - oh and win a cup..

he's done a good job.

He absolutely has. Unfortunately for him, through no fault of his own, anything short of leading the league in scoring will be considered a diappointment to some. The massive hype surrounding him when he entered the league is the reason for it.

He's had a great year and he's only going to get better. It makes me happy to know that the future of the NHL is in good hands with the likes of Crosby, Ovechkin & Phaneuf. These kids are awesome.

actually, i think he'll be fine. He appears to want to be 'sidney crosby' and not 'mario2/wayne2/etc' -

I really like phaneuf alot - his game is awesome to watch -

Hinote is on 950 The Fan right now, he's friggin' hilarious.

Irv Brown admitted that he turned the game off after Chicago scored with 5 minutes to go and Hinote called him a bandwagoner. Irv denied it and Hinote said he'd prove it. He said that he hadn't scored a goal in forever and his phone wasn't ringing. All of a sudden he scores one last night and his phone rings......and it's Irv & Joe.
