I see this as the direction that the NHL is going.... I see this league getting so even in the future that playoff standings from like #5-12 will be decided literally the last week.

I love the Av's, but I've been following the minors this year just as much... Jacksonville Barracuda's tickets are so easy and cheap to get your hands on. I've gone to like 30 hockey games this year (2 Avs games, a ton of Barracudas games).... and I'm going to start practing with some of the Barracudas players.

God I'm drunk

13 seconds apart

When I first hear "Sakic... goal" I thought it was a replay of the last one. It wasnt.

It's pathetic to see how badly the Avs have been outworked in the biggest game they've played this season. 75% of this game has been played in the Avs zone because Calgary is badly outhustling the Avs to every loose puck and they're winning every battle.

Now a ridiculous call gives Calgary a penalty shot and it's 6-3. Unbelievable.

Good Lord, that blew. So is May going to get in trouble for the punch at the end? I thought that was a big no no in the new NHL.

Go Wild and Stars.

We got RAPED on that PS call. No way in hell that was a penalty shot. Good God, he'd already gotten the shot off and had it blocked.

I guess we can all be thankful that Smurf is dressing up in hockey gear and taking pics....instead of ladies undergarments. Ya never know what can happen when you're drunk.

Manny Fernandez shuts the door in the shootout, so Vancouver stays a point behind the Avs.

Oooo, this could hurt if true.

According to the Ottawa Sun, a source close to the Senators organization has said goaltender Dominik Hasek will not be returning to the lineup this season. The Senators have refuted the report, calling it unfounded.

Does Skrastins have a broken jaw or something? I hadn't heard anything about that, but he had that big protective jaw thing on last night.

Kessel won't help sell seats because the Wild have sold out every game since they came into existence in 2000.
I read recently that Gaborik will be a free agent after next season, and that the Wild could have a hard time re-signing him due to the system they play. I'm not sure if he'll be an unrestricted free agent, but it makes sense that he'd want to leave the Wild and find a team that actually likes to play hockey. He's a great young talent with rockets in his skates...I wouldn't be surprised to see him dealt closer to his impending free agency...they'd get a ton in return for him.
