I really dont think placement matters that much. As long as we dont play Detroit in the first round. These teams are so tight taht the talen level is so even from #3-#8 that there will be a lot of upsets....

I see this as the direction that the NHL is going.... I see this league getting so even in the future that playoff standings from like #5-12 will be decided literally the last week.

I love the Av's, but I've been following the minors this year just as much... Jacksonville Barracuda's tickets are so easy and cheap to get your hands on. I've gone to like 30 hockey games this year (2 Avs games, a ton of Barracudas games).... and I'm going to start practing with some of the Barracudas players.

It's pathetic to see how badly the Avs have been outworked in the biggest game they've played this season. 75% of this game has been played in the Avs zone because Calgary is badly outhustling the Avs to every loose puck and they're winning every battle.

Now a ridiculous call gives Calgary a penalty shot and it's 6-3. Unbelievable.

Good Lord, that blew. So is May going to get in trouble for the punch at the end? I thought that was a big no no in the new NHL.

We got RAPED on that PS call. No way in hell that was a penalty shot. Good God, he'd already gotten the shot off and had it blocked.

Oooo, this could hurt if true.

According to the Ottawa Sun, a source close to the Senators organization has said goaltender Dominik Hasek will not be returning to the lineup this season. The Senators have refuted the report, calling it unfounded.
