The PK is atrocious tonight, and everytime Breeze-by touches the puck he either passes it softly in front of the Av's net or he simply turns it over.

Really soft on the penalty kill tonight. Budaj's been helpless on the goals scored.

Looks like Jose and Tangs might heal just in time to watch us miss the playoffs.

Budaj isn't the guy who can be the last line of defense on a team that's as wounded as the Avs are.

I'm not saying that the loss was on Budaj, but I am saying that perhaps Blake and Liles aren't comfortable enough to crash down and shoot knowing that if they miss and there's a breakaway to the other end, all that's left is Budaj trying to stop a guy with the puck. He hasn't shown any ability to handle that kind of pressure, whether it's on a breakaway, in a shootout, or on tonight's penalty shot.

Look, don't mind me. Maybe it was the years of rooting for Cleveland teams that made me into something of a worst-case-scenario kind of guy.

And there's no way I would. He was doing his main job, laying guys down and taking them off the puck as long as it lasted. Skrastins came to work tonight as well.

yeah thats true, we definetly sucked the other night but remind me how did the Avs do in the other three games we played? Bow down to the Kings

im fine with it, i would be steaming mad if we gave up a 3 goal lead. You dont see that in hockey alot.

Could you remind me whose team's on the outside looking in when it comes to playoff standings?

The Ducks are going to be a scary team in the playoffs. I'd want no part of them or San Jose. I think we'll finish 7th and play the Stars, which I don't mind. There's no shootout in the playoffs and almost a quarter of their wins have come in the shootout.

I was not pleased with the officiating tonight. Anaheim's first goal came after a dive by Selanne and then another Ducks player dove to send Turgeon to the box. The penalty on Brad Richardson at the end of the second period was a terrible call and ended up giving Anaheim life to start the 3rd period with a goal.

Patrice Brisebois also killed us with his dumb decision to shoot the puck out of the rink and give Anaheim a 5-on-3.

The schedule for Colorado get much easier with St. Louis on the road and then a bunch of home games including a couple against teams like Phoenix, Chicago, St. Louis and Minnesota. Take care of business then and we'll make the playoffs easily.

i know, we have alot of important games coming up. We will see if the coaching change does anything. I hope it refocuses all the players and brings their intensity up because i didnt see it in the avs game, and that is why Murray got the axe.

Keep enjoying those 3 early season wins. Maybe one day the Kings will give a painting depicting one of those victories over Colorado to Mathieu Garon when he retires. Kind of like giving Adam Deadmarsh a painting of your only playoff series win in over a decade.
