Just callin a turd a turd, that's all. I figure if I put someone in my avatar that I really don't care for, it'll somehow bring some luck. Every time I put a player I like in there, they get hurt or start slumping.

Peter Budaj played well in his first game as the number 1 goalie. The one goal he gave up would have been stopped by 0% of the netminders in the NHL (only Chuck Norris could have stopped Brown's rocket).

Gotta give Jim Dowd credit for getting on the score sheet in his first game as an Av.

The next two games against Calgary are so important. I'll take a split at this point.

Like Jori said, you can't stop Jim Dowd, you can only hope to contain him.

I was nervous there for awhile. In the first period, Budaj looked like he was scrambling a lot and out of position a few times. There were some close ones.

I'll take our two points and hope the rest of the division loses somehow.

Just doesn't sound right if you guys don't add 'the mighty' part to his name.

If his parents had any sense of humor at all they have named him Wellen.

Then he'd have been able to tell every girl he met that he was Wellen Dowd.

I know some people really like Terri's work, but I've never gotten over what a crybaby he can be. Anyone else remember his rant about the Blake Street Bombers and how "insensitive" it was back in the day?

As for Ovechkin, would the Caps trade him for, say, Sundin and any three others? They'd be crazy not to.
What an idiot.

Herc, it's not too late for the Caps to give us the 2 points instead of getting their asses kicked on Sunday.

That's pathetic, Smurf. Even if you don't think Budaj is as good as Aebischer (I think he is), why give up on the team?
