According to tsn, the Canchokes sent former Pioneer Brett Skinner to Anaheim in that deal. Coach Gwoz has to be really happy to see that after the Canchokes wanted him to leave school for the AHL this year.

Yes I saw that on TSN. I'm so happy he is out of the Vancouver system. Good luck to Brett!

We can only hope.

Damn, the Oil got Samsonov out of Boston. The division is getting tougher.

details on the recchi trade:

The Penguins traded their No. 2 scorer, veteran right winger Mark Recchi, to Carolina for two players and a draft choice this afternoon.

The Penguins get winger Niklas Nordgren, forward Krystofer Kolanos and a second-round choice in the 2007 entry draft.

Chicago gets Brandon Bochenski and a pick from the Sens for Tyler Arnason. Arnason would have been a nice fit for the Avs.

More deals may trickle in, but sounds like the only move for the Avs was Theo.

I suppose the Avs are going to do nothing while Edmonton and Vancouver get better, especially Edmonton.

Calgary hasn't done any thing either. I'm a bit surprised, but considering how much some of these players are going for, I'm not too surprised.

The Sens also sent a second round pick to Chicago as a part of the Arnason trade. I like that deal for Chicago.

Niko Dimitrakos to Philadelphia for a 3rd round pick. Like that deal for Philly.

Calgary didn't need to make a move as much as we did. Hell, our team got weaker with the Theo trade since we lost a player and didn't add one.

Actually I'm glad we didn't give up any prospects because even with a few moves this team wasn't going to win the Cup.

So the Wings traded for Cory Cross? I wouldn't be too confident going into the playoffs with Manny's legacy of two career playoff wins under his belt.

I'm surprised that Tkachoke hasn't been moved despite his no trade clause.

Have you seen Calgary's offense? They needed a center badly.
