What a ****ing joke. We just dumped a cheap, solid netminder for an overrated, overpaid netminder.

Isn't Theodore injured?

I don't understand why Lacroix is going to take on a big contract for a player that has regressed. Still waiting for more details but it looks to be a 1 for 1 swap.

Plus Theodore is out with a knee injury for the next six weeks. This makes absolutely no sense for a team that is on a playoff run. So you are going to rely on two rookies to take your team into the playoffs?? Unless we are swapping him to Florida for Luongo this makes absolutely no sense!

I can't believe this. You've got to be kidding me, Lacroix. He's lost it, completely lost it. His love for French Canadian players has gone too far.

Exactly. The Avs are a point out of 1st place and he deals their #1 netminder for someone who's going to miss the majority of the stretch run? Either there's another deal coming or they've got a lot more faith in Budaj then I do.

Sustained a fracture of the right heel bone on February 16 (during the Olympic break) and will be out of action for about five weeks... Blocked 35 shots and earned his second straight victory, on January 16 against the Dallas Stars... Stopped 23 shots and was

On the upside Theodore is on the IR for the next few weeks, so we can look forward to our rookie goaltender getting us through the most important and difficult part of our season! Then we get to pay twice as much for an injured goaltender when in fact what we really f'ing needed was a forward of d-man.

The Habs get rid of Theodore's ridiculous contract. I have no problem with Jose personally, I just don't like his contract and I hate it even more now that he's hurt. He can't even help the Avs unless they makes the playoffs and now that you have rookie between the pipes that makes things even more scary.

I've been ripping on this guy for years for stealing Iginla's Hart Trophy and Roy's Vezina and now I've got to root for him. Teriffic.

Nothing personal Jose, but you're overpaid and overrated.

From what I'm gathering, Theodore has 2 years left on his deal at $5.3 million per season.

It just doesn't make sense. Aebischer is healthy and has completely outplayed Theodore this season. Aebi saved our asses last night.
