The Avs have played terrible the last three games and are still one point out of first. The Blackhawks game on Friday is still a must win.

I'm easy to please too when it comes to how important those points are. Also, I am thinking back to them ****ting the bed when they played the lowly Blackhawks too. Heck yeah, a win's a win, baby!

Besides at least we aren't in the same category as the Nucks this year. They've got a lot to boast about when it comes to their record against the Blues this year.

good point...

I still can't get into this team let alone the NHL...I thought I'd be pumped for hockey this year, but it's a no go so far.

Really? Is it because of the loss of the 2 stalwarts? I'm over losing them, but I still have a lot of ill will about it.

that and there isn't a whole lot of matchups in the Western conference that I'm in a rush to see anymore...The Wings are on another planet comparef to the avs , but the Canucks and Flames are still fun games.

I think this years scheduling has really pissed me off more than anything....come on playoffs

I'm not wild about the scheduling so much either. I do like the divisional games. I guess I think it just needs to be mixed up a bit more.

How the hell did Tanguay not end the game in OT? Sometimes he frustrates the hell out of me, yet he made the nice move to set up Sakic's goal.

Tanguay is what Tanguay is. He's a terrific player, but he clearly doesn't want to shoulder a team...which talent wise he's clearly capable of doing.

He's not sometimes frusturating though Breck...he's completely so. He has tremendous skill. He has great vision. He has everything you want except a killer instinct. He's still young...but he's flat out just too unselfish, and he doesn't have the erstwhile Swede's grumpy disposition, or ungodly strength on the skates.

If he was meaner...Alex Tanguay would easily be a top ten player in the NHL...perhaps even top 5...(Excluding goalies of course.)

I also really enjoyed the rather anti-climactic tilt between McCormick and Jackman. I'm a huge fan of Jackman's. And McCormick can hold his own with just about anybody in the league. Anyone remember a couple of years ago when he flat out took Iginla? Anywho...the fight in question wasn't great per say...neither of them really landed anything...but it was a good fight...they went about it the right way...

Didn't Bertuzzi sideline Jackman for a season with a shot from behind a couple of years ago?

Wow. There was either a bidding war or the Oilers were desperate. That's a pretty steep price to pay for a good but not great goaltender who's slated to become a UFA at seasons end.

Damn. I'm happy the Oilers didn't get an elite goaltender and had to give up a 1st rounder for him, but I'm also pissed that Minnesota got a 1st for their backup goalie. I don't understand Edmonton's thought process on this deal. Roloson isn't going to put them over the top and a 1st round pick is a lot to give up for an aging backup.

Thank God Aebi has picked it up. I can't imagine what Luongo could go for now.
