regardless, he should have been suspended longer. That kind of play cannot be tolerated.

it was UNintentional, cole turned INTO the hit, and brooks held up, and didn't drive him into the boards with anything more than his chest. He dropped his hands going into the check -

it's 3 games, and my pens sucks - bite me

dude Cole was helpless going into the boards the guy shouldent have finnished off the check he could have avoided it...Cole lost his skate going in and was already heading into the board head first Orpik made it worse by ridding him in. It was dirty and you cant denie it.

"The whole thing was an accident," he said. "It was unfortunate. I mean, I go at it with him every game [against Carolina]. I think we do it in a clean way, a competitive way. I think we actually play well against each other.

"He's a physical guy. It wasn't premeditated at all. That's the one thing I want to stress about the whole thing, and I hope he moves on and gets better quickly and gets back on the ice."

Have you read his initeal statement...Dude showed not remorse and dident at all show concern for Cole that came out after he took heat for his response and the leauge suspended him...

**** happens man, his suspension i have no problems with - but he hasn't shown history of being dirty and **** happens.

Aebischer was the Avs best player tonight. If he played like he did against the Wild, the Avs would have had no points. The Avs played like crap for most of the game.

Hejduk and Skrastins played well also. Tonight's game was one that can really set a team on fire. They were clearly squeezing their sticks tightly and rightfully so. They can no longer overwhelm teams by their sheer talent. They're a good team though, and they can have some say in the Stanley Cup tournament.

Tanguay has always been a Canadian born euro. He just really likes to set up plays, and not finish them. He's an outstanding player, but he could have been a fine finisher. I'm definitely glad he's on our side. I just wish he'd shoot the gawd damned puck more. Anyone remember game seven 2001?

Patrice Brisbois makes Martin Skoula look like a physical defenseman...F the Les Habitantes(sp?) for making that Polly-Anna the Avs' problem. And F the Avs for letting Adam Foote skate off to Columbus.

That was good to see. It was also nice to see him do something other than shooting forehand to the high glove side like he always does on breakaways. I think he totally fooled Sanford by faking forehand and roofing it backhand. Awesome move by the Duke.

Also nice to see Joey score an important goal.

How the hell did Tanguay not end the game in OT? Sometimes he frustrates the hell out of me, yet he made the nice move to set up Sakic's goal.

winning in a shootout against the worst team in hockey is nothing to be proud of, but they needed something to build on after the last two horrendous outings.

Winning a shootout when we have s**** at them is great and sanford was playing a great game on top of that hejduk scored a great goal in the shootout which he needed to do.
