No need, you guys got to say hi to them yourselves when you joined them on the golf course after the first round of the playoffs.

Screw Felix the cat, I want Hrudey.

Seriously *taking off Kings homer glasses* Anaheim and San Jose have all the ingredients to make a cup run this year. I just wondering if the Ducks will move Giggy? They already have that young russian goalie who was impressive in the playoffs.

It'll be interesting to see if Giguere is moved. Toronto, Tampa Bay and Ottawa have all filled goaltending needs. Detroit is still a posibility, but the market isn't as good for Giguere and Nabokov as it was a few days ago.

So why is Hinote such a hit with the ladies? I never knew that. I always liked him just cause he was a yapper and a scrapper.

Sakic was the only player left from the 1996 Cup team last season and now he and Hejduk are the only players left from the 2001 Cup team. Gone are Forsberg, Foote, Blake, Tanguay, and Hinote. Vive La Salary Cap!!!

The Hinote signing was reported in the Denver Post this morning and is now on TSN and Sportsnet.

Steve Yzerman is retiring according to TSN. Despite the rivalry, one of the great true class acts in NHL history. Best of luck to Stevie Y!

A big rumor going around has Chris Pronger heading to Anaheim. The Ducks certainly have the players to pull it off. Can you imagine Pronger and Neidermayer on the same team? Wow. The Ducks have been very quiet, so it wouldn't surprise me to see this go down.

Yeah, I posted the Arnason signing on Saturday, you'll probably have to look back a few pages to find the discussion.

New Jersey locks up Colin White to a six year/ 18 million dollar deal

http://www.bergen.com/page.php?qstr=...Y3dnFlZUVFeXk2

Expect the Devils to be active this summer. They have dead money tied up in Malakhov and Mogilny at around 7 million. They currently stand at 41 million, with Gomez and Gionta, amoung others, left to sign. Gomez may be considering a one-year deal in order to become a UFA next summer.

Double yep, the time had to come sometime.

Pronger to Anaheim is official!

Oilers receive Joffrey Lupul (local Edmonton kid), a non roster player and some conditional high end draft picks.

Lupul. That's the guy that scored FOUR goals on the official bounced out in four concerning the 2006 Avs playoffs.

Nothing official yet, but some radio stations in Canada are reporting that Edmonton received the following:

Lupul
Smid
1st round pick 2007
2nd round pick 2007
*1st round pick 2008 (If Anaheim goes to final)

Clearly this hurts Edmonton for 06-07; they pretty much are in the same boat as the Avs right now. However, this could turn out to be very fruitful in the future.

Here is the official trade according to TSN/Oilers website:

"The Edmonton Oilers have acquired right wing Joffrey Lupul and defenceman Ladislav Smid from the Anaheim Ducks, along with Anaheim’s first round draft choice in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, a conditional first round draft choice and their second round draft choice in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft in exchange for defenceman Chris Pronger."
