Aebi is still the best goalie Colorado has.

That is all.

That speaks volumes about how poor the Avs goaltending situation is.

On the bright side, Hejduk looks like he's getting back up to speed.

Do the Avs have the worst goaltending in the NHL? Survey says.....

YES!

I just want to know if the Avs organization did something to tick off Pavol Demitra.

I know we have been spoiled by watching Patrick Roy in an Avs uniform for eight years, but is it too much to ask for even average goaltending?

Any long time Colorado hockey fans having flashbacks to Hardy Astrom?

... and Aebischer played.

The truth is that the Av's will come around. Maybe not even this year, but they have a decent roster.

BTW: Malkin has been tearing it up at the Juniors, and he will be at Turin as well.....

I think if my pens get a top 5 pick (IF, HA!) - i think they should draft the best D prospect avail.

Obviously you haven't been watching much Avs hockey, Smurf. I don't know why you have this hard on for Aebi. He hasn't played well for most of the season. He's had a few good game runs....very few, but that's it. Most of it has been forgettable.

I dread seeing him in net more than anyone at this point....or I did until this last nightmare started with Kolesnick going to pot and Budaj not being far behind. None of them are impressive right now and I wouldn't put Aebi at the top of the list for us anyway.

Since you guys got Sid, I think you guys shouldn't be allowed a top 5 pick for at least 2 more years.

Cool story....

http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/sub...-3740691c.html

CHILLIWACK, B.C. -- They were robbed at Chilliwack's Best Western Rainbow Country Inn, but a pot of Hockey Canada gold has saved the day for the Czech Republic junior team.

Just four days after about $15,000 in cash was stolen from their hotel rooms, members of the Czech team were breathing a sigh of relief yesterday after Hockey Canada replaced the money.

"Hockey Canada called me and apologized for what happened and said: 'Tell the players (Hockey Canada) will give the money back and to concentrate on hockey and the tournament,"' a relieved Czech general manager Petr Misek said from the hotel.

"We know we are getting our money back. It's nice -- this could happen anywhere."

Great win against the Devils. Crosby with 2G and an Assist. Fleury 44 saves on 46 shots.

Crosby with an assist and the game winning goal in OT against the Rangers.
2 wins in a row!

I think Ovechkin also has a G and an A in his game today so he still leads Crosby in the rookie scoring race by 2 points.

Toskala has burned us just like Nabokov has. And lookee there, he did it again. Our own goalie didn't help us out any either.

Hey Smurf, how bout that perfomance by Aebi?

Btw, cute pic of your kiddo, SJ.

I think we've found your guy, Erik Johnson.

The kid is just 17 years old, but he's already 6'4, 225 and looks like a sure bet to be a top 5 pick (possibly as high as 2nd overall) in this years draft.

Yeah, ive read a little about the guy. There's a debate at HF about whether he is better than Jack Johnson. Im kinda torn about where the club should go in Round 1. Weve got a great young stay at home defenseman in Noah Welch who is in his first year at Wilkes Barre after a great career at Harvard. Other than that, our stud young defensemen are offensive minded (Whitney, Letang and Goligoski), although I'll give Josh props for sticking with his boy, Brooks Orpik, he finally looked like he was turning a corner the last two weeks before he broke his foot. So weve got a need there, but the team also needs a big time winger. Two great centers in Crosby and Malkin, a gritty hard working 3rd line center in Talbot, some decent wingers in Armstrong and Surovy but no real studs on the wing. Im leaning towards Erik Johnson but some of those versatile forwards like Frolik and Toews to put on the wing sounds nice too.

Hopefully Ovechkin can lead Herc's Caps to halfway decent record from here on out so we can have a better shot at the 2nd pick.
