they just said on NFL Draft special that the broncos might be looking to trade the 15th and 22nd to get into the top 5 to draft Vernon Davis, Mario Williams, or Reggie Bush if he slides, thoughts?

Somebody's been reading the Mane. I doubt they got that information from the Broncos front office...

Cool with me.
Any of them will be ok with me. If I had a shot at all three I'd take Mario...then Davis...then Bush. |

Behind the smoke and mirrors you will find a fake mirage and a trap door... which leads to a portal into John Malkovich's brain. When its said and done, you are spit out on the Jersey Turnpike and kicked in junk for believing anything you hear about the front office draft plans.

According to the draft value chart (take that for what you will) 15 & 22 are enough to get the Broncos up to #4.

So far I've heard trade up, trade down and stand pat. I guess that covers all the bases.

I have a source that a deal is in the works for swapping Lelie for Walker and #22 & #15 for #5 in a big GB deal. (That source being thin air, that I just pulled this out of) |

Looking at the new trend, maybe they'll draft all basketball players.

Can someone call that college kid that broke the John Abraham trade and confirm this?

Hell, they might draft OMers. I'm declaring as a WR. 6', 175. I used to be really fast (city champ in the hurdles and ran at UCLA). I still have good speed. I'm only 29. I've watched enough Bronco games to know the offense.
Thinking about it some more, the Broncos will have to trade up to draft me. ![]() |

I'm not sure what has driven me crazy more on this board...the use of the term "smokescreen" or the polls with cute options of "It's Griese's fault."

I'd love Mario Vernon or Bush but, I doubt Denver gets any of them too big of a cap hit.

It's just the upfront money... bonuses, etc. Base salary probably isn't that bad.

The cap hit will not be an issue at all, with the Broncs still $7m under or thereabouts. It's the top 5 bonus money that's the problem and whether or not Pat Bowlen and Mike are willing to pay it. They've already dished out $20m plus this offseason.
