Default Looking more like Bush isnt going to Texans - Plus Schefter says we land Moss

http://www.nfl.com/nflnetwork/story/9381854

Does New Orleans take him now if Texans grab Mario?

At the bottom of the article Schefter says it would be a major upset if Denver doesnt land a top WR on Saturday the 29th ... thats a safe projection.

Sinorice Moss should practice his Mile High Salute?! .... No so sure about that!

but a thread isnt in the main forum yet, so its all good

They will definitely be fielding calls, but they could also take him. He will be special.

If the Texans don't want Bush, they should trade out of the #1 spot.... of course, this could just be a way to hide their intentions, that is, they may not be googooing all over Bush for the mere fact that they don't want every one to know what their draft intentions are...

......and the point of that would be...........

Brick is the smarter choice. As the article says, they have D. DAvis, a VERY good RB. Mathis, a PRO BOWL returner. Those are 2 things that Bush brings, and he is a good WR, but wait, the TExans also have very solid WR in Moulds, and Dre.

Mario or Brick, please kubes.....let us take Bush from ya

I doubt that, if they didnt want anyone to know what their intension were, and they arent going to pick Bush, they would be making like it was a done deal!

They are already on the clock so they dont have to fool anyone by playing possum with Bush.

I originally told my friend that the Texans would be better taking D'Brik but he convinced me that awesome backs make up for a bad line to some degree. If they take Mario Williams, this changes everything.

I wonder what Reggie is thinking. That one slot is a ton of money.

Could also have something to do with contract negotiations. If they don't role out the red carpet, they may have a better stance negotiating his contract. That is, they aren't going to cave in and throw money at him..

The question is who grabs him? Does NO takes him? I bet Bush hopes to God not! Do teh Titans pass on a desaprtely neede QB and take him? I doubt it and certainly not the Jets.

This could wind up pushing some things in the top 10 around pretty good base on various teams need and maybe we ca benefit somehow.

Thats possible but I really think the Texans have more pressing needs than Bush with Mathis as returner and Davis as a relatively decent runner if they had a real line. Bush would also stuggle at first behind that line if that make some major improvements this year.

I also have some major questions about Bush as an every down back in this leaque. I dont think that is how teams will use him or he wont last.

I was thinking the same thing. I'd assume New Orleans would have to take him, but if they didn't he could fall three spots and push better guys toward us.

Yep. He's a Cane but he isnt a special WR. He's a mid 3rd round talent in my book. Plus, he isnt a possession WR and thats what we need. I cant figure how people are calling him a first rounder or a second rounder. He's a good Cane and all but people are really overrating him.

If the Texans pass on Bush, I think he'll end up in Tenn. Tenn could pass him up for Young or Leinart though. That would shake up the entire top 10. Maybe Vernon would pop out of the pile a Bronco!

15 = perrrrrrfect spot for a player to fall!!

I still dont understand Tenn's need for a QB, Volek looked good.

So, what's it gonna be next week, a DE? Last week we had QB for lunch every day and now we're talking WR. I love the hype its annually consistentcy is amazing and I can't wait to see it squirm and dissapate right through our ears when Shanny makes his call at 15.......

I no longer attempt to guess, we know what our needs are, but if a player falls that is just too good to pass on, you take him, regardless of position.

Its an interesting example of herd mentality. Its like everybody sort of agrees to grade all the positions on a curve in the NFL Draft. There are no wideouts in this draft who deserve to go above the 30th pick, but everybody wants to squeeze three of them into their first round mocks.

Im going to go ahead and call it.

With the 15th pick in the 2006 NFL draft, the Denver Broncos select....Jason Avant, WR, Michigan.
