Default OT - Deal or No Deal on NBC

Anyone else watch this show? I don't know why, but I like watching it, guess it could be the HOT models they have opening the cases!

Hubba hubba!

C'mon people.

They open suitcases.

That's the show.

The contestants open ****ing suitcases and they made a show about it.

It's quite possibly the lamest thing on TV right up there with the Lost hysteria.

I watched it tonight because that prison breakout show on Fox makes me want to give myself a lobotomy. That one chick was kinda hot.

Hell yeah I watch it. I love watching greedy people pass up on huge amounts of money to try to make a million dollars. The funny thing is these people make like 30 thousand dollars a year and pass up deals for hundreds of thousands. Serves them right.

I hate to admit it, but I like Deal or No Deal. They have the #s set up so that the offers go up and up to a certain point... and that is up to the greed and luck of the players in what they have in their suitcase and what cases they open. I can see where people who like gambling would like this show. I can do without all the phoney baloney drama, but I like the show. I think it will be a passing fancy, but for now I dig it.

Why are they already having repeats...nothing worse than knowing the outcome of a gameshow...boring...however, not as boring as the Miss USA pageant.

Never even heard of it. Repeats of a game show? Pure genius.

I watched a couple of times . It got old pretty quick. The funniest part is watching Mandel who is a germ-a phobe. He avoids human contact (no hugging ect....) and will only touch contestants by doing fist to fist.

i like looking at the chicks, i think when you pick your case you should get the chick that comes with it to stand beside you for the whole game, also my kids love it, but they are 2 and 4 so they just like yelling out the numbers.

Game shows are the cheapest shows to produce for television. That is why they can offer such large monetary prizes (of course, you lose most of it in taxes).

It's actually a good show to learn about oddsmaking and when to fold your tent and take the money.

I was shocked to find out that was Howie Mandel hosting, the former stand-up comedian whose act was to come across as mentally retarded and say things that were stupid but somewhat humorous. I guess you can't poke fun at those sort of people anymore so it's good that he's found another line of work. He used to have a lot more hair and a higher voice back in his stand-up days. It was also difficult to be funny as a retard when Bobcat Goldthwaite had already cornered that market.

As for the models, yeah, they're nice eye candy. I wish they got to have a bigger role on the show. I wish they wouldn't spend so much time building up fake drama on the obvious "no deal" moments.

The show is so simple that i still haven't figured out what it's about...

So these random people open cases full of money and.... then what?

They are betting that the amount they have in the case they picked is higher than what is left on the board. The banker makes them an offer to stop playing, they can take it and walk away with that much, or be greedy and keep trying to pick cases with low amounts until they are all gone except one case on the stand and their case.

I like the models the most!

Is that right? I didn't know he was a germ freak. I'll have to tune in the next time and watch him run for cover when a contestant wants a congratulatory hug or high five.

I watched it for a couple episodes. The sad thing is so many people are so easily entertained.

Comedian and talk show host, Howie Mandel, also had OCD.
Like many OCD people, Mandel has a germ phobia (a.k.a. contamination fear); he is concerned that he will catch a disease from other people around him. His disorder manifests itself by him having an immense dislike of shaking other peoples hands -- an occupational hazard in his entertainment field. He also has an immense dislike of being around people who have illnesses, such as common colds.

Unlike most people that have OCD, Howie uses humor to simply shrug it off. However when his OCD is intense -- as it often is -- he retreats to a second -- "sterile" -- house that he has built in order to isolate himself from the world
