The only thing that would really piss me off would be trading up for a QB.

This draft is so good that I could live with just about anything else. There's so much quality that it'll be hard for them to go in a direction that I won't be allright with.

I would be thrilled about trading up for Mario Williams, Vernon Davis or Michael Huff.

Happy:

Trading up for either Young or Cutler.

Staying put and landing either Ngata or Bunkley @15, or using a lower round pick to move up for one of them.

Trading down and picking up another first next year.

Unhappy:

Drafting a WR in the first two rounds. There isn't one worth the pick.

I would be pissed if we didn't get some sort of impact player.

We don't need a WR in round 1.

I would be pissed if we took Jason Allen and he still has injury problems.

I say find a way to package and get up to Mario

Could live with: Having two players from day one make a true impact

Pissed: If Oakland lands Mario or VD

Thrilled
Cutler, Young, or Bunkley at #15
DeAngelo Williams at #22
A trade down from #15 about 8-10 spots if nets a 2nd +
A trade down from #22 to late 30's/early 40's that nets an '07 1st

Happy
A trade up for Cutler or Young

Pissed
Any trade up that uses both 1sts that doesn't net Cutler or Young
Jackson
White

I would be thrilled to see Ngata, JWilliams or Bunkley available @ 15.

I could live with a trade up into the top ten for any specific player the front office liked.

I would be unhappy with Chad Jackson @ 15.

He must be thinking of Minn's RB from last year that went to the Cowboys

Assuming this is first round...
I am determined this year to be happy with whatever we get!

Like a lot:
WR - Jackson, Holmes
RB - Williams, Maroney
S - Whitner, Simpson
DE - Hali, Kiwanuka
LB Sims (an absolute not-a-need, but this guy will be special)
C - Mangold

Neutral (won't be excited or mad)
RB - White
S - Allen

Dislike for us
QB - Young
S - Jimmy Williams
DT - Gabe Watson

He's listed as 5'11 205 on the Gopher homepage which is slightly larger than I thought (it is Minn. home page so that might be inflated) but he is a little smaller than I would like. DWILL is 5'10 but has freakish ability so I wouldn't mind him. White is 6'2 235, that's the bruiser back I think we need.

You'd be pissed at drafting the 6'0" 215lbs "midget" Maroney, but okay with the giant D'Angelo Williams at 5'9"?

Here is scouting report on Maroney from NFL Draft Almanac:

Strengths: Maroney is an explosive runner with outstanding outside speed. He has excellent burst and is a consistent threat to make big plays on the outside on the ground. Is elusive and quick in the open field and is very good at making defenders miss. Turns the corner quickly and is able to take it to the next level and find a second gear. Is a productive runner who typically has a very high yards per carry average. Has improved as a receiver out of the backfield and is a real threat when receiving the ball in open space. Has the ability to make an impact as a return man.

Weaknesses: Durability could become a question mark after getting so many carries in 2005 and because of his lack of ideal bulk. Does not pose a major threat as an inside runner. Does not have the strength to consistently break tackles. Needs to become more consistent as a pass blocker. Could try to add more strength to become more effective as a between-the-tackles runner or in goal line situations.

Overall: Maroney is a very good prospect with a lot of talent and pure athleticism. He is a very dangerous outside runner with great speed, elusiveness, and burst. He consistently makes big plays and picks up a lot of yards per carry. He is not a big threat as a power runner, but he is still a big time running back with the ability to make a lot of big plays. Maroney rushed for over 1100 yards and 10 touchdowns in each of his three seasons at Minnesota.

Would love Davis or Williams and any impact cover safety.

Would be pissed with Kiwa, Hali, and any WR in the first round

I'll be the first to admit I never saw a Gopher game. I'm going off the scouting reports that I've read most list him as 5'10 to 5'11 and 5 to 10 pounds over 200. DWill intrigues me because I have caught him a couple of time on tv and he is explosive yes I know he's more undersized than Maroney but the way he runs with the ball I don't think it will matter. Sorry to upset the ****ing Maroney fan club I will edit my post. Ultimately i hope we draft White, this is a back I know a lot about because I've watched almost every USC game for about the last 13 years. Did you see him run over Huff with the stiff arm in the Rosebowl. I want a bruiser like that or an unbelivable talent like DWill. From the way you guys are on Maroney jock I guess he would ok at 22 but I wouldn't be psyched.

The sack problem has stirred some pleas for the Broncos to select a pass-rusher within the first two rounds of the draft April 29, but that's probably not going to happen.

By now I usualy have a couple of players in mind that I would really love to get in the first couple of rounds. With the depth of this draft, I would be satisfied with any of about 20 players with those first three picks.

I would be pissed if they trade any choices this year for choices next year.

I would be pissed if they take a QB in the first two rounds. Too many other needs to fill and none of the big three will be superstars in the near future in my opinion.

I would be very happy if they come out of this draft with 2 DL, a WR, a TE, an OG and a RB for the active roster. A developmental QB or a developmental safety would be a bonus. They will also need another OL for the practice squad.

Now THAT sounds like a Broncos-type running back...

Don't forget, people, that Shanahan takes guys who are not necessarily the best athletes in the draft. He takes guys who fit his system.

Okay, here's my attempt.

Thrilled with anything that resulted in Mario or Vernon Davis.

Could live with Chad Jackson at 15, just because if they did draft him I know they had done their homework and believe he would be a really good player. Also, at 22, if Tamba or Mathias fell, I'd be stoked.

Pissed, nothing too much after the first 5 minutes of the picks, because I feel they know more than me. I do, however, believe a running back in the first round is not necessary.

I'd love to be able to address both positions of need (go to guy on offense, pass russ) so a QB in the first couple rounds is out of the question.
