In all honesty, unless you know how it's structured it's hard to know how much he will recieve. I figured if he was signed to a 1 year deal, it was likley be incentive based.

There was probably a base figure, with a few incentives, ie playing time, performance bonuses things of that nature.

Let's say for example he has a base of 585,000 (which may be below the vet min. for a 4 year player) but if he reaches all his incentives he has the capability of making 1.75.

We likely have all been around long enough to realize that you cannot take a contract with these players at face value. Without knowing how it's put together, I dont know whether to be happy or disatisfied with the signing. So I will chose indifferent.

With it being a 1 year deal, you can bet it's a "wait and see" relationship between Walls and the Chiefs. So I doubt theres much blind commitment. That is just speculation though.

I would hope you wouldn't sign that scrub to that much money

for a minimum deal, he's worth a flyer

I will enjoy seeing Rod twist him around in a game though and see him try to tackle Rod with his "ole" style

I think your right the base is the 585 grand and he could make up to 1.75 million if he hits all the incentives.

At that price he is definitely worth a try-out, but I find it interesting how some KC fans were actually justifying the $1.75 M salary before (that is way too much for him).

If he could turn for the ball faster he'd be pretty good.

More like what he is worth, if he makes the squad.
