Running Backs in the 1st Round ... - The Orange Mane

I think we may draft a RB in the first round this time around and there´s probably gonna be 3 with first round grades available at 15 ... Maroney, DW3 and LenDale White .... who would you bring on board?

Of the the three, probably Maroney at this point. White is starting to sound like an arrogant fat kid, and Williams gets injured too much for my taste.

I'll add this caveat: If the Broncos pick any one of the three, I'll be totally supportive since I trus their scouts more than my own judgement. I also think that Coach Turner won't be getting a "draft this player" card again for a little while.

I will take any of the three. My preference would be White and then Williams. I would be thrilled with either, especially White.

I would also be pleased with Maroney (he does have quite a bit of experience in a similar system) although he would clearly be third in preference.

If it was an absolute certain that we were going to draft a RB, then I would want it to be Maroney. His running style fits this system the best.

LenDale over both of them. Everyone talks about how small Tatum Bell is, but Maroney and Williams are both smaller.

My problem with Tatum is that he has trouble being patient with the holes, not that he is small...

Dito. His size doesn´t worry me at all, but I´d rather have a guy that can get 4-5 yards every carry rather than a guy like Bell who has 5 or 6 carries for negative yardage or just a yard or two and then busts out a 30 yarder. Bell relies on big plays too much.
