Lori Nickel, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, reports Green Bay Packers QB Brett Favre was an honorary coach for Southern Mississippi during a spring football scrimmage Saturday, April 1, but he was still not ready to announce his decision regarding his future with the team. "Everything is still the same. I'm still thinking about it,'' Favre said after the game, according to the Associated Press. The Packers have once again moved the date Favre's $3 million roster bonus is due. An NFL source confirmed Saturday that the date of the roster bonus had been pushed back by the Packers, for a third time. It's important to note that Favre's indecision is not affecting the plans or progress of the rebuilding Packers. However, the NFL Draft is coming up fast, April 29-30, and the Packers have remained mostly idle in the free-agent market for quarterbacks. In the meantime, Favre apparently isn't letting himself go fitness-wise, perhaps another sign he's open to play a 16th NFL season. Favre spent several weeks in the off-season last year with a personal trainer to strengthen his core, which helped his elusiveness and mobility, and he apparently is doing something to remain in shape now.

This is getting absurd. Walker isn't going to come back, and the team sucks. He threw 29 picks and even tho everyone but objective people saw it, most looked the other way as "He was trying to do too much" So when Jake does that he sucks but Favre gets a pass? I would stay another year to bag another 10 mill or so, but he's not going to ride off into the sunset like the Duke of Denver.

I know he's a competitive guy and wants to stay in football, but he's putting the Packers in a bad position. He could easily retire and they could have that salary cap room back. I don't see the Packers as a team to beat in the NFL this year, anyway...

If I'm a Packer fan, I hope he STAYS AWAY!
The Pack is rebuilding, and Rodgers needs the snaps NOW... |

I'm indifferent as to whether he stays or goes.
