Default Wesley Duke with a TD today

26 yard TD catch....game still in progress.

That is encouraging.

Duke had 0 catches in the first game.

I think he had 2-13 in the second game.

Today he scores a TD.

Looking better and better every game.

Thanks in advance.

That's great news to hear. Thanks for the headsup, SouthStandJunkie. BTW, SouthStandJunkie has one of the best Broncos sites on the entire web.

Is anybody concerned about Duke playing a full football season in Europe and then following up with a 16 game regular season where he will likely be at least the #2 tight end? I am a little worried about his knees holding up through the entire year.

It is funny a guy with three torn ACL's is mentioned as a guy with tremendous upside. Now if Wesley Duke had played four years of college football nobody would give him a chance because of his history of knee injuries.

Thanks for the props.

I also have some concern about the amount of games Duke will be playing this year between both leagues.

I am not worried about Duke's knees. I think the playing in Europe thing is not as big a factor as people are making it. Players work really hard in the off season.

Brandon Browner (SS) was getting a lot of press around here at one point. He's buried on the depth chart.

Last offseason there was a lot of banging on Cooper Carlisle. This year not a peep. Did the right side of our line suddenly improve?

Nobody posting any love for Todd Devoe? I guess he's going to have to earn that slot this year.

Honestly this year, I would not be surprised at all if Devoe worked his way to the number 3 spot. From the limited action I saw him in last season he appeared o have a good amount of skills and a lot of determination. Not to mention he was an undrafted rookie free agent from Missouri. Just so happens that the last guy who was a determined skilled undrafted rookie free agent from Missouri just happens to be the teams all time best receiver. Devoe has speed can catch the ball and just needs a little work on route running and down the field blocking. But i think Dinger should help him in that deppartment. Also, who knows, maybe Watts and Lelie have breakout years working with Dinger. I just think this is gonna be a good year for denver's receivers

Plus DEVO is one of my all time one hit wonders. If you factor in his playing time, the guy is uncanny at making ONE big play almost every game.

Unfortunately Yes, He rushed the reahad on one and blew it out again .

Still I'd love to see a healthy Duke and Vernon Davis lining up inside of Rod, Ash and Terrell on our 5 receivers go deep play :-). Thats a LOT of big guys haulin' ass down field and it would drive DBs the drink!

I didn't see it, but NFL Network replays the games on Sundays. Plus the Broncos website does a very good job detailing all our NFL-Europe guys weeks on Mondays, and I've been posting it here so far.

Wesley Duke tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee three times. But that didn't keep him from showing impressive enough skills for the Broncos to give the college basketball standout a shot.

Let's hope the third time was the charm and he won't blow it again. Or at least not play a game of pick up street ball..............
